I'm leaving to go on a family reunion cruise which stops off in halifax .  for the sake of trying to avoid being that sandals with socks, multiple cameras around the neck, i heart canada t-shirt wearing tourist, i'm curious to find out what halifax cool people do in their spare time.  What are your favorite things about your city? Favorite karaoke bar? best anarchist book store? best coffee? best (and cheapest) seafood spot.? best grungy dive bar to snag a beer? give me the secrets and i'll be happy to advise you on any questions you may have about San Francisco or Los Angeles.
