I am going to Edmonton this Sunday for a surprise birthday party for my friend and we need to order a cake!  I am hoping to order it by Thursday the latest.  I need to know where you guys think the best cake is in Edmonton and is open on Sundays!  She is not allergic to anything and she is not picky about what flavour the cake is, so anything that taste amazing!

   All the best bakeries in Edmonton (Bee Bell, Bon Ton, Italian) are all closed on Sunday.  You're best bet is a Save-On Foods.  I think their variety is the best of the grocery stores.

   Try "urban diner" by 124th and 102nd (west Jasper). I have bought some very amazing pies there and cakes. A little pricey but their chef is just seriously insanely tallented. I'm now tempted to go back! Price range $30 for a decent cake/pie.

   I agree with Jason. Bee Bell is great, and I must recommend the carrot cake there. Ridiculously good. (By the way, don't go to Cake Couture. They somehow delete all the negative reviews, but they're not good, and there have been a few people who say so. And here we thought Yelp was a forum for free speech.)

   La Favorite bakery is awesome, but as Jason says, it would have been closed on a Sunday I bet.  They're the folks who made Wayne Gretzky's wedding cake.  I guess that bit of trivia's not worth what it used to be, eh?  It's mainly why I chose them to make my wedding cake, though.  *smile*
