this mall sucks compared to Mountlake Terrace malls. this is the worst place on the planet. worse than sacramento even. i'd rather make bread from my yeast infection then go to this mall.

You know, back in the day I used to think this mall was the ish..but now when I think about it, its pretty ishy..there may be quanity but there is no quality. And there are so many brats running around, if those were my kids, I'd smack them where it doesn't leave a mark.

I still haven't been there yet.

Hey now, Sacramento's malls are no different from those in the Bay Area, with the exception of Stanford. Sacramento just sucks on its own! You're talking to a SF Bay native here! :-D

Good thing I went to the Royal Alberta Museum today instead of going to the mall.

I haven't been to Sacramento's malls, but I'm not sure if West Ed is that bad. It's got a lot more to offer besides the average-quality shopping, like the movie theatre, bowling, waterpark and shooting range to name a few.

I agree with Valerie about the quantity over quality though. Some stores even have multiple locations within the whole mall. But there have been better stores opening up over the past couple years.  If it's the shopping you mainly go for though, don't go often, cause you might get bored of it really fast.

I don't really mind WEM, but maybe that's because I don't live by it. For me, it's kind of a fun place to go once and a while, or I'll go there for a specific store. I wouldn't go there just for a general shopping trip though. There's smaller, less crazier malls that are just as good.

Ditto, Jeanette. Saturday's feel like 24 hours before Christmas. It's crazy and congested. My pulse goes up just trying to walk through the corridors behind lally-gaggers and people with strollers. Too many punks, although if I was a teenager I'd probably be hanging out here too. It's a far cry from the crappy strip mall I had to be a mall rat at when I was 14.

I prefer to shop at smaller, independent stores than go to WEM.  However, WEM is conveniently located and I often head there if I have to pick something up in a hurry.  I guess living in Edmonton my whole life has caused me to sort of take it for granted, perhaps in the same way someone who grew up near Disneyland or someplace like that would not think it is all that big of a deal.
