When I used to teach English to non-native speakers  in Millbrae and Burlingame this place was a staple. Tiny restaurant, just a few tables and the sushi bar. Divine ramen and decent sushi as well. Great prices, good service also.

Their zaru soba is also well-liked by my friends.

They partially validate parking in the main J-town garage, which is a nice perk since it is right across the street.

Ryowa gets points for their offering of free kimchee, and for pairing their ramen with delicious fried rice and gyoza which combine to form their lunch special- reasonably priced at around $7.

Ryowa loses points for keeping their interior so dark that…More »
