When my friends and I need to wind down (read: get cruuunk) and we're heading to Old City, it's almost implied that we're going to Lucy's Hat Shop. (There are actually two bars - Lucy's, which is downstairs, and Top Hat, which is upstairs.)
I wanted…More »

I always have a good time at Drinkers West!
The food and drink specials here are amazing - $1 tacos (hard or soft) and 35-cent wings all day, every day. The Cajun Rub wings are my favorite - they're so good, I haven't tried any of the others! The…More »
I've only ended a few nights at Plough, so I have no idea how it is for the beginning/middle of nightlife.
The end of the night. Is. Awesome.
That being said, I'm usually feeling pretty good by the time I get to Plough. One of my friends or I stumble…More »
Awesome beer selection (around 50 on tap plus everything else) and amazing martini selection. The prices are decent considering this bar is in a casino.
Was there on a Saturday night and the music was really good!

I was at Tavern on their opening night, and had a lot of fun. My friend and I enjoyed cheap Three Olives drinks, and the staff was all friendly and excited to be there.
I was there the next weekend, and it was way more crowded. It was still a good…More »

The Beer Bible - wow! It was so extensive, it left my head spinning! (In a good way.)
I saw plenty of beers that I wanted to try but settled on a lambic framboise at $12 for 12oz. I HATE raspberries but I LOVE this beer. It's bright red and so tasty.…More »

Half-off drafts from 10-11 p.m. every night, you say? Well, all right then! (Strongbow Cider was my choice last Friday night.)
I finally made it to Sugar Mom's after hearing good things about it from friends. I'm glad I did! The music was good, the…More »

This place is ALWAYS packed, even when I'm walking by after work. I already posted a review for Drinker's West but figured I would write about its sister location, closer to where I live. The food here is good too, and cheap. There are great drink…More »

I've never eaten at National Mechanics, only been for drinks, so my review is based purely on the few nights I've spent there.
The beers are a little on the pricey side for my taste, and it's packed - REALLY packed. There is always an insane line for…More »

Noche's not my faaavorite bar in the world, but it certainly isn't the worst one around.
The music is typically pretty decent and the bartenders are heavy-handed. I prefer being at places like Noche before they get really packed so Noche is more of a…More »

Randomly on a Friday evening with the boyfriend. I was upset to see that mussels weren't on the menu - does anyone know if they were before? I feel like I've had them here before during Center City Sips.
Anyway, boyfriend got a bbq combo that looked…More »
