Mmmmmmmmmmmm. The Sentinel is my lunch hero, no pun intended. (Well, maybe a little bit.)

Speaking of obsessions, I must now have the veggie bi bim bap at least weekly. I don't care if it's a small hike from work or if I must remember to bring cash only. It's a small price to pay for that fresh bowl of heaven.

Not much wrong with a free lunch at Roy's... The secret veggie menu had a nice bunch of options, and the service was top-notch. They even check your outfit, and if you're wearing dark colors, you get black napkins instead of white. Nice!

I have a new job (same company), and the biggest worry about the commute to my new building was where the closest Peet's was. Imagine my delight when I came up from MUNI at my new stop and there she was! A Peet's stand right there. Oh, glory be.

I think of Los Socios as "creative Mexican food." They offer a lighter, yummy take on the usual items.

Best falafels in the heart of the FiDi. I'm also a big fan of the combo salad plate and those yummy lentils. Go early if you want one of the few seats in or outside, or take it to go. Now open til 7pm on weeknights!
Really good garlic noodles, big portions. Go early to beat the rush. Did I mention garlic noodles? Yum.

I like this location better than the downtown one, as it's less manic.
However, I'm still salad-impaired. I can't seem to figure out how to order a salad bar salad assembled by someone else. What if I just want a few chick peas and a smidgen of a…More »

What a great lunch I had here! You order at the counter, and they bring you a delicious sandwich on homemade foccacia and a little side salad on a real plate with real silverware and it's all extremely civilized and delicious. Yum!!
Go early to make sure you get a table. Nice people work here, and they will bring you piles of good food and a cold margarita. What else do you need?
