I remembered seeing a number of great films here - older ones, indie stuff. It was a nice, quiet, smaller theater that's right on campus. So the convenience was great when I was going to school there. Plus, it was nice to not have to put up with all…More »
Gotta love that great big round walkabout thing with all the windows to get up to the second floor. When you're a kid, that's pretty awesome. I guess.
Growing up in Sidney, this was always the place to stop by whenever you walked down Beacon. Been here a million times. They always had the cat on the counter to visit, a great selection, something for all of us to check out, and Nibs on the counter…More »
A nice Thrifties location for a small town. I haven't been to the "brick and mortar" store for awhile (but when I have been there, always found everything I needed and recall getting through the tills quick), but I have purchased a number of flower…More »
A great grocery store in this small town. Tons of produce, and even generous section of drug store-type items (toiletries, soaps, etc). The cashier are also very friendly and helpful when we've visited. The best part of this store is the coffee…More »
Awesome mini golf. I got the most freakish hole-in-one here that I will never forget (flew 20 feet over, hit a tree, bounced back, went in the hole - that kinda thing).
These things are CRAZY - the biggest creme filled chocolates you'll probably find anywhere. But you have to have one before you die (and by the size of these things, make sure not to have too many or...)
That said, I do prefer Purdy's.

This is a review for Purdy's in general, as a Canadian chocolate company. Mainly because I've never been disappointed by any of their locations.
First of all, let me say there is a benefit to NOT being able to go here - I don't eat the chocolate.

My mom goes here regularly, and always raves about the stuff she finds - lots of great stuff, barely used, and for next to nothing. Things are well organized and sorted, which is a bonus. She has taken me here more than once, and I have always found…More »
Got my coffee fix here after being severed from my coffee addicition in the USA for... too long. So even though it was a couple years ago, I remember the experience like yesterday (and not only because my darn debit card wouldn't work in the Canadian…More »
Five stars for being the "first" Tim Hortons that I remember going to. Bonus because this was the Tim Hortons where I was introduced to the luxury of fritters that are fresh out of the dipper. There was a crazy time back when I was up at ungodly…More »
Froyo, Fro-yo, Frogurt: The Frozen Yogurt list (15)Good frozen yogurt found in the bay area, ordered from best to not-as-best-but-still-goo d-tasting-how-can-you-go- wrong-with-frogurt. OK, I lie, I'm adding a few outside-of-bay-area spots to the bottom of this list -- for you frogurt eaters venturing forth. You know, it used to be hard to find frozen yogurt, but now it's everywheres. |

Long live ass pants (9)Lululemon around the bay area, and a little beyond. And can you say "most useless list EVER"? It's just a little too pro-pricey-yoga-wear to make it useful. That's a lot of hella-repetitive five star reviews, I gotta say... |
