Any hotel that provides telescopes in the room automatically gets five stars from me! The fact that you can point the telescope at any number of things out of your sweeping panoramic view of downtown Vancouver makes the flat screen TV seem trivial.

This isn't a hotel - it's a complex! A complicated complex. Multiple towers, elevated walkways, fountains, twinkle lights, a big ol' pool.

If there is one thing in this world that I love more than donuts, it's cereal, and it's much easier to keep donuts around to snack on when you are staying in a hotel...unless you are staying at Pacific Palisades hotel!

Make sure you get yourself a room on the highest floor possible facing the water. Otherwise you'll be stuck in a sad little room that you paid much too much for and you'll wish you had checked Yelp a little bit more before agreeing to room 412.
