This is now officially known as 'the hipster burrito place'. My friend call it that and I knew exactly what she was talking about! lol
I came here from the airport and on my way to the bus station. It was a bit hidden, hole-in-the-wall… Read more »
I've only been back here sporadically over the past year. However, each time, the food has been different. I don't know what. I seem to have to add chilli sauce to it each time to spice it up. It lacked the taste that it once had.
Maybe what the…More »
Corner Tandoori is difficult to find because it's truly a 'hole-in-the-wall' place. The first time… Read more »

This is as probably as good as it gets for burritos outside of California. I had my first burrito in the Mission district in San Francisco and nothing can compare to burritos there. However, Red Burrito comes close.
The tortillas are fresh as are the…More »

I came here with a friend on his recommendation. He's usually on and he wasn't off on this one. The restaurant is a bit out of the way on East Hastings but any place worthy of the food is worth the journey.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The…More »

I came here with some friends on a weeekday mid-morning and the place was lined up - a good sign that people are willing to wait - it was cheap, ($2.99 all day breakfast) but was it good?
We didn't want to wait so joined a fellow diner who was very…More »

I met some friends here for lunch once even though I knew there was nothing vegetarian on the menu - but I knew they could leave the meat out a bánh mì.
I'm glad I went and ordered the sandwich. It was the best baguette that I've had outside of…More »
I've never had Dutch pancakes before - but it appeared to be a cross between american pancakes and crepes. Bigger diameter than american pancakes and thicker than crepes. Unfortunately they only serve one. Nothing spectacular; not bad either. A good…More »

Ethiopian food is always good. This place is no exception. We had the vegetarian plate for two. Great presentation, good variety and it was fresh and tasty!

I was going to make something for a potluck dinner, but was too lazy to cook. However, I stumbled upon this place.
I only wanted a dozen samosas. They had them and they were fantastic. Not too greasy and nice and crispy!

The raw food restaurant/bar is fantastic and great value.
The produce is also fresh and very reasonably priced. My favorite place to shop for fruits and veggies when I'm in Vancouver!
It seems I come here for lunch every time I visit the city now. I have the exact same thing - veggie burrito with the red tortilla, rice, beans, pico de gallo, salsa verde, guac(!), corn (yes, really), cilantro and some lime juice.
For me, it's the…More »

I gave Chau VeggiExpress five stars because I was so excited to find a vegetarian Vietnamese restaurant! This was the first time I've had pho in over ten years - before I became vegetarian!
