My favorite airport - not necessarily the best or cleanest or fanciest - just my favorite because I know it like my own home :)
Schiphol is designed with the traveler in mind. Transits are easy and painless. Transferring gates is a cinch - making…More »

Airports
Neighbourhood: IAH Airport Area
In my opinion, IAH is the airport of the future! A sleek, contemporary, modern airport that is huge yet personal, crowded yet friendly, busy and hectic but where almost anybody will stop to help you.
Huge. Crowded. Busy. Hectic. All characteristics…More »
Going strictly by my airport rating criteria, this place would get a grudging 3 stars. It probably only deserves 2... crowded, dirty almost everywhere, delays all the time, rude staff almost everywhere... difficult to maneuver, especially if you're…More »
I'm definitely a fan of SFO and actually prefer to drive up here and fly out of here rather than the much more convenient SJC.
Likes:
- Better access using public transit (though I usually drive)
- Better parking options
- Cheaper parking options

Ahhhh, Pittsburgh International! So many memories - I''m giving this 4 stars based on memory alone for today I could not possibly give it more than a 2 or 3.
PIT was the place where I first set foot on US soil - back in the day! Yes, there was a…More »
I really don't feel personally about DEN. I have a strong personal reaction to almost every airport I fly out of, into or through but DEN never evokes a strong personal reaction.
Maybe because it's kind of sterile. Or maybe because it's so sprawling…More »
I can honestly say that after flying into and out of FLL, I will be hard pressed to ever consider using MIA again. Now THIS is a great airport!!
Seems newly renovated for the most part but the wide open spaces, airy and bright interior space with an…More »
Ahhhhh, O'Hare... how do I rate thee?
O'Hare would be a 5 star place for me, if... if I didn't have to fly.
Simply put, this is a delightful terminal despite how big and how many passengers it serves. It has every type of food, retail,…More »
In the age of post 9/11 security phobia, HNL is remarkable in how it organizes its sterile areas. There are whole open sections, open to vehicular traffic (restricted traffic but traffic nonetheless!) and large outdoor areas with trees and terrain,…More »
I like SJC for its convenience and accessibility. I can literally leave my home an hour before a flight and park, take the shuttle, check in, clear security and still be in time to board with the Elites. Hard to beat that kind of convenience!
I've…More »

Neighbourhood: Southeast
I hate this airport. And I love this airport.
The airport is a pain in the behind if you are running on a tight schedule and have a car to drop off. LAS security lines can be horrendously long so plan ahead. It's crowded, full of amateur travelers…More »
This is probably the most convenient airport in the world for a city this size. But it leaves a lot to be desired.
I'm an airport person. I love airports. I love spending time exploring and walking around airports. Watching the planes. People…More »
Another airport review! It's been a while but since I'm back to traveling at a dizzying pace, it's time to write more airport reviews :)
I'm not crazy about ATL. One reason is that Delta calls it home and I hate Delta. So part of my dislike for…More »
Ha, this airport would have scored 3 stars from me but it had the unfortunate honor of being placed into my review queue just after I reviewed IAH. In comparison, IAD doesn't compare and loses a star because of this comparison.
IAD is a typical US…More »
BLEH!
There's absolutely nothing I can add to the reviews that have already painted this miserable hell hole in the worst possible colors.
The only passing grade I will give LAX is to the United reservation staff at the T7 Red Carpet club. Superlative…More »
When I do something I feel guilty about, I make a trip to PHL.
To remind me what hell is like.
So I won't do it again.
This airport has everything that I hate (with a few saving graces). It's crowded, cramped, filled with miserable travelers and…More »
I'd give this airport 3 stars if all I was doing was passing through here. If you have to head landside and into/out of this airport, it's as close to a real-life cluster eff that you can get.
This has to be the most terribly planned airport in terms…More »
