I've been going to this location of Cardio Core now for the last two month and I am loving it and working harder than I have in a year. Seriously. Kim Kirstiuk is the main instructor and owner of this franchise and she is an excellent trainer. She…More »
I cannot express how much I love this yoga studio. I started with a 1 month social shopper deal and this January I took the plunge and bough a 1-year membership! Talk about commitment!

I've been coming through this park over the last month for my bootcamp classes and it's a huge, diverse, and interesting park. There are so many nature trails--some of which contain exercise stations. There is a soccer stadium there where the…More »
We went rafting with these guys this past weekend and everything was great. Especially the staff. They had a great sense of humour but were definitely serious when safety is in question. We had such a blast down the Canyon rafting tour and it was…More »
If I meet any tourist who is planning on going to Capilano Suspension Bridge (CSB) , I just get this immediate urge to persuade them to come to Lynn Valley Suspension (LVS) instead and save their $30 or whatever it cost these days to cross the…More »
I finally went snowshoeing and it was a lot of fun. Our guide, Kristen, was very knowledgeable about the woods and explaining the history of it. The area is quite beautiful. They do group rates if you have 10 or more people, or you can do a drop…More »

These gardens remind of Stanley Park in Vancouver, except a German version of them. They have similar elements:
-Both parks are in or near the city center
-Both parks have some asian element to it
-Both parks have some sort of body of water.

This having been my first 10K ever, and I did it without training, I felt such a sense of accomplishment at the end! The route is very scenic and it's actually great to run along side so many people and know you're not the last (unless of course, you…More »
Great view, amazing mountains. I love the Peak to Peak! It's a shame it's not sunny and clear more often. But then I guess it wouldn't have as much snow for the winter sports.
This lake is gorgeous and peaceful! Cute little ducks swim on by. It's a nice hike easy through some meadows from near the Bowen Island Ferry Terminal, probably about 45 minutes or so. If you bring a picnic lunch, this is the perfect place to stop…More »
What a great way to go explore more of Vancouver's natural scene! Thanks Crystal for organizing. The up hill wasn't actually all that challenging.. it was more a problem of having low energy. But hiking is a good mood-lifter. And yay Yelp for…More »

I will be back here again next time I'm in San Diego. I didn't get to experience this park to the fullest. What I did see was amazing though! I love the architecture of the buildings and the interesting museums around. And they have tamales…More »
I can imagine this place is gorgeous on a hot summer day! But it's also amazingly beautiful on a sunny (but somewhat chilly) autumn morning! And a lot quieter! It's an awesome place to go with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and take a walk with…More »
I only did one month with Cardio Core and I honestly wasn't expecting much out of it, since who are we kidding? One month can only get one so far.
However, by the end of 4 weeks I was feeling so much more fit, more healthy, and I had more endurance.…More »
I think this is one of vancouvers best beaches! So sandy, serene, and secluded during the off season, it's the perfect place to go relax and ponder. Sure there may be some nudists but it's a free community. Just get ready for the stairs back up.
I like a gym that's only for women. This is a decent gym. They have tv's in front of the cardio machines, weight machines that are sized for women, as well as a lot of free weights. They also have several cardio classes, free wellness and fitness…More »

Also a first time donor, and I was totally freaking out in that chair but trying not to show it (don't think I did the best job though, since they kept asking if I was okay). I really don't like to see the needle and all that stuff in me so once…More »
This review is for the snow tubing and sledding area only. We came here on my sister's last weekend in Vancouver to have some fun with our little cousins and play in the snow. I've been snowtubing at Mt. Seymour (see: http://www.yelp.com/bi...) and…More »
