Vegas requires a surprisingly large amount of thinking. Does the club pay for the cab? Sometimes. One-guy-one-girl rule? Usually. Be sure to tip... or not. Buy her a drink... or not. $30 cover??
Did I just go to a strip club or do my taxes?

THEHotel is pretty on the surface, but, like Vegas itself, lacks depth and character. Mandalay Bay has a tropical vibe, but it's so half-assed it's barely noticeable. THEHotel is far from the pool and spa, and Mandalay Bay is far from center Strip.

Turning a burger into fine food is like trying to convert a trailer into a mansion. You can throw all the Ethan Allen you like at it, it's still going to be just a trailer. If I'm going to pay $60 for a burger named after some dead French dude, I…More »

MGM Grand is a cool place. It's hip without being tacky.
We stayed in the West Wing, which is "hipper" and cheaper than the standard rooms. It's smaller and better suited for couples and/or young adults. There is a bar area on the floor (unused at…More »

"Sirens of T.I." worked in that I heard music and was led to my death.
It's quite literally the dumbest thing I've ever seen. This is typical, tacky Las Vegas humor and performance. Some guy in the audience was actually laughing at all the "jokes."…More »

A cool museum filled with relics. Chain-smoking, gambling relics...
Come here for a glimpse of a dying Vegas. I learned all about cliches, bad posture, and secondhand smoke. The patrons are about as old as the stage routines. The combo of drag queens…More »
So classy my tax bracket went up just being here...
I then proceded to Riviera to lower it (I hid between a couple of old people).
Beautiful hotel. There's a chocolate waterfall in one of the stores that's hypnotic. Yes, chocolate waterfall... I will…More »
Dated but still somewhat fun.
This is probably still one of the best places to abandon your kids while you gamble irresponsibly.
Had a chili cheeseburger at one of the cafe/restaurants. It wasn't bad.
