Beautiful scenic park with entrances on Eaton, Britain, and LaLoma. Not a huge hike, but awesome place to dog walk, BMX, or have a brief (2-3 mile) hike.
Crazy gorgeous panoramic views from the top of this trail- to the left Oracle, SFO, San…More »
AMAZING running store- puts some of the better known ones up in SF to shame.
Great selection of shoes, insoles (superfeet!!), and water bottles made running my marathon last summer a *run* in the park.
As a recovering torn ACL patient, I cannot stress…More »
I would explain my feelings towards cupcakes as the reverse Seinfeld episode- top of the muffin. I always like the bottom of the cupcakes the best!
As I can never try just 1 item in a new location, I opted for 3 mini cupcakes to go- standard vanilla,…More »
This corner store has been here as long as I can remember. (Along with his bird...)

My family and I have been loyal patrons of Santorinis for years. I distinctly remember celebrating the passing of my drivers license here almost 9 years ago!

NO! Who said this place is owned by old Foodville owners? I can't believe it- they went from funky awesome local classic to stupid yuppy store?
This market smells funny, is incredibly expensive, and they are seriously lacking some basic alcohol,…More »
Been here several times and the ongoing stand out piece is the seared ahi tuna with wasabi mashed potatoes. not even sure if that's on the menu anymore... but when i find myself thinking about it, I drool.
Unless you like the hip, loud, "happening" scene, I recommend getting here early (and making reservations).
The large and delicious selection of appetizers, salads, and desserts really trumps getting a "meal" here.
The appetizer menu's "piece de…More »

Went in for a simple oil change.

One night about 25 years ago, after a grueling night at lamaz (sp?) my mexican food craving mother stumbled upon La Hacienda.
Here we are, almost exactly 25 years later returning every Friday night (yes, that would be over 1,000 of eating here).

5 stars for a well run restaurant with amazing food.
Minus a big star for waiter with the overbearing cologne. Unfortunately, he was a very attentive waiter who would continuously refill our wine- every time he did a reach across, my mother would…More »

Little overpriced, but really one of the only places around I can buy repair for torn sales and bent fins.

Although I sorely miss the old pharmacy (don't ask why, just a huge part of my childhood), Shiki is more than a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Leave the gun, take the cannolis.
Or in this case, take the sweet potato fries. oh yea, and also the salmon burger, and also the 1/2lb godfather burger, because man the food is good here.
