Heyooo!! It's always sunny @ macs tavern. Cute lil neighborhood bar with a casual vibe.
The microbeer lover that I am, I had to stop here for dinner on my trip to Western PA/Ohio while visiting a friend. Although they didn't have wheat beers, they did have rye beers which I had never tried. Quite tasty I may say! My favorite drink was…More »
One of my go-to olde city faves! Not too low key, but not too pretentious. Perfect.
I've been to the Media and West Chester Iron Hills but never to this one yet. Great seasonal beer! The "So cuttered" hoppy wheat was fantastic and only offered in this location, and named after Roy Halladay, a local Phillie. Very awesome spinach &…More »
This place is a staple to the Stroudsburg area. A nice place to go when you want to get out for the night and have a decent meal. I've been here several times. Although I was reluctant to try sushi in a bar/pub atmosphere, I could not help myself. It…More »

Service and food here were mediocre at best. My order came out wrong (chicken cheesesteak instead of reg steak), wings were not that great (perhaps it's b/c I ordered them naked instead of breaded), and overall service was just ok. Don't get me…More »
Oh-so-scrumptious! Friendly and fun vibe overall. The place is definitely unique with the money hanging all over the ceiling. Great beers on tap!! Priced especially well during happy hour! Will come back here if I'm in the area again.

What can I say, I was really impressed with this place. Went here with my parents and boyfriend to kick off the first night of our vacation in OCMD. We got a table so close to the bay (literally 2 feet), got here at the perfect time and watched the…More »
Pretty good Irish Pub with plenty of drinking madness and good-natured people. I've never had the food here, but I've never been disappointed in the drinks or service here. Probably one of the safest bests of Main Street Stroudsburg. Not that there…More »
I went here on our trip to Rehoboth due to a few recommendations from friends, despite the 2 star rating that I found on Yelp. Coming here with higher expectations, I was disappointed to see the lack of atmosphere and service that this place had. The…More »

This place oozes Pittsburgh. Unhealthy food and lots of beer. All in all, a decent experience. I loved the sports pub atmosphere. I thought the food was just ok. I think I was looking to be blown away by the flavors of the french fries in the…More »
Ok, so there are several layers to my review of Dogfish. Let's begin.
First and foremost, let's obviously start with the BEER. First tried the sampler and enjoyed all of the beer! AMAZING. I unfortunately did not try the straight up vodka they also…More »

Typical watering hole. Pretty big place with ample space to drink and mingle. Didn't try the food this time around. Atmosphere leaves something to be desired.
HIDDEN GEM OF PHILLY. I've never seen a list of beers so long. The waitress was very knowledgeable about all of the beers on the list, and the beers were actually served in the correct glasses. Most of the menu items incorporated beer in some form…More »

Came for "wing it wednesday" (10 free wings w/ a pitcher of beer) and had a good time here with friends. Got pretty packed in here as the night progressed! Great beer selections, both bottles and on tap. The food was pretty good, and I could see both…More »

Woop woop for good beer! I've been to many breweries, but this one definitely had the most modern feel out of them all in terms of furniture and atmosphere which was a nice change of pace. It fit right into the Old City vibe. Great beer and food all…More »
Good neighborhood restaurant. Never had a bad meal here. Never had a stellar meal here. Generally, good service. Sometimes it can get very crowded because, honestly, there's no many more places in the area to go! I'd rather eat at Scorecard a mile…More »
This brewery is a little less touristy than I expected, and that was refreshing. We missed the tour, so we just did the tasting. The samples they gave were HUGE. That was fun :-) Poor old dog they have there was laying on the floor and had flies all…More »
Ommegang did not disappoint. We did the tour, and the guide was really knowledgeable. It was a bit crowded in the tasting room, but we made quick friends. They also had food pairings they shared with us. We bought several beers to take home and share…More »
So greasy, yet so satisfying. Can we say... hot dog with cheese and bacon? Dear lord. I had to detox for a week after this Pittsburgh trip (which included Primanti Bros, Haufbrauhaus, PNC Park Phillies vs Pirates, and other bars I can't remember). Is…More »
Reasons why Chickie's and Pete's ROCKS MY SOCKS.
1) Crab fries with warm dipping cheese
2) Philly sports & their crazy-a$$ fans that I know and love (I am one of them)
3) Beer towers
4) Big screen tv's
5) CRABS and SHRIMP seasoned to perfection
6) Did I…More »
Always get hooked up with extra cheese at this place. Although Geno's is my favorite, this is my boyfriend's favorite so I will represent him here. Not as big as the South Street Jim's, but when I want a Philly cheesesteak I don't really care about…More »
Typical pub grub and beer establishment. However, one beer in particular gives this place 4 stars for me. It's called the "Dirty Hoe" and it's a mix of Frambois Lambic and Hoegaarden (both of which were on tap there). A bit pricey at $8 a pop, but up…More »
Wish I would have come here at nighttime, as I hear people dance on the long wooden tables! That's my only regret! At least the accordian player was still doing his thing during our meal. Totally German place with authentic German food and great BEER…More »
Food is decent. Atmosphere is just okay. The beer selection is pretty good, though. Eating at the bar is probably my suggestion because you can talk to the bartenders about all of the cool beers they have. That's just my thing :-)

I wish there were ratings for different categories... Let's keep it simple: Menu- basic and satisfying in general. Drinks- satisfactory. Entertainment- AWESOME! We came as a group and had a blast! I don't think I've laughed that hard in so long. My…More »
Blah. Food was just ok. Wish I was in the mood for beer because it looked like they had some pretty good selections. If I came back here, it would be strictly for the beer and NOT the food.
Always a safe bet. Great beer. Great food. Good service. It can get a little packed, so making reservations is a good idea. LOVE the sweet potato fries here, and so does my boyfriend. They come with 3 different dipping sauces- a spicy green sauce,…More »
This beer-loving gal would have given 5 stars to Victory if it wasn't for the service we received one night from an extremely rude waitress (The story is too long to tell). Luckily, we were able to talk to the manager who gave us our meal and drinks…More »
All time best cheesesteaks. "wiz wit." Sorry Pats fans. I'm all about the cheese on the bottom of my steak for whatever reason. Ah, the college memories of standing in this line at 2 am. I'm getting hungry just reminiscing about it.
This place is a safe bet. Decent food. Decent drinks. On weekends it can get pretty crowded and can be hard to find a seat anywhere. So, I usually just drink more until standing doesn't bother me as much :-)
Ok, so this is a dive. I've been here once after a stressful day of grad school. Those plastic cups of Miller Lite and bar popcorn were oddly comforting. Wine is not an option on the menu at this kind of place. The bartenders were not familiar with…More »
