Amazing croissants. The croissants were soft and buttery on the inside and flaky and lightly crispy on the outside. The taste was buttery and just a hint of sweetness. We came in for a quick bite and ended up buying six additional croissants.

Highly recommended. Premiere Moisson is an excellent bakery and charcuterie. Their croissants are flaky on the outside and buttery and soft on the inside. I didn't try it but their charcuterie has a huge selection of pates and terrines - just check…More »

Three Times Good - SF Bay Area (16)I will try most restaurants once. If good, I may go back a second time. This list is for SF Bay restaurants that I have gone back to more than three times or that I liked so much that I would definitely revisit whenever I am in the area. So these are my three-times good restaurants. . |
Great places to work from OR my office away from the office (5)This is my list of places to work when I am away from the office. These places are good for really heads down work and not just casual Internet browsing. I figure you can find lots of free WIFI hot spots through http://www.hotspotr.com for casual work. This list contains public places where you can stick around for hours, places with lots of work space, good Internet connectivity, relatively quiet, lots of other people working, etc. Places where you don't stick out like a sore thumb while working or where you are not welcome (e.g., people hovering over you looking for a table). Let me know if you know of such places - I would be happy to add them in. |
Dives or Hole-In-the-Wall eateries that are darn good (9)This list is dedicated to Dives or Hole-In-the-Wall eateries that are small and cheap but the food is authentic, honest and just darn good. So what is a dive or hole-in-the-wall eatery. Well my definition is an eatery that is- small (less than 10 tables), - decor is an after-thought (if at all), - the bathroom could be third world, - the menu could be plastered on the wall, - the eatery probably does not have a web site, - most of the food should be less than $10 (more likely less than $8), etc. This is definitely not your chain restaurant or a place that seats you. This eatery will likely stress fast service so they can get you the heck out fast. Don't even think of lingering around here. But most importantly, this list is not about any dive or hole-in-the-wall - the food has to be good, honest, and authentic. Please let me know if you know such a dive or hole-in-the-wall. I will add it to the list. |
