Service: very good
Sushi: good rolls at a good price
Sashimi: not good!
Came here on a last minute decision because Sushi Zono was closed. It's a little restaurant with a dull but typical atmosphere. The sushi itself was just ok, but the rolls are crumbly and fall apart. Getting from point A (plate) to point B (mouth)…More »
I like coming here, especially for the free appetizer mussels and green tea ice cream dessert! The service is pretty good with really nice waitresses. They have one of my favorite rolls of all time: the orange blossom, but I was muy triste when it…More »
Overpriced rolls for tiny portions.
Some points for very nice decor/atmosphere and having a pretty waitress.
Initially, I was not a big fan of this place because I didn't like the sushi that much. I gave the place another chance and ordered the lunch special. The lunch specials are a good deal for the amount of food you get, especially the SASHIMI! The…More »
The sushi is not that good here, but for happy hour the sushi is insanely cheap! We got 8 rolls and our bill was still less than $40. Now that is a steal. Although, we did get what we paid for: poor quality rolls and service was s-l-o-w.
I already do not like little mad fish, so my expectations of normal mad fish were already low. It's still 50%, and for dinner that was a steal, so I gave it a try.
If I had to choose between little mad fish and this one, I'd come here cause the…More »

Yum, Mikuni's! They opened a little one in Davis and I wish it was there before I left! The inside looks so cool and trendy, which makes the atmosphere really fun and nice. It feels like it would be THE spot in Japan. The rolls are delish,…More »
4.5 stars because it's currently my favorite SJ sushi place.
It doesn't look like much based on its location or exterior, but inside it's very pretty! Even though it's a Korean/Japanese fusion, I've only had sushi. The rolls are a good size, great…More »
Come here for the sashimi and nothing else!
I absolutely LOVE sashimi and this is one of the best places to get it. The lunch special is a great deal. For $8.25 you get salad, rice, and 7 HUGE pieces of fresh sashimi. Definitely worth it.

The rolls are not filling. We were still hungry after 3 rolls...totally not worth the money. Service was ok, we stayed way past closing (oops), but they were nice enough not to kick us out or rush us. We just made sure we were the 2nd to last ones…More »
One of the few sushi joints in ESSJ. It is just like the one on Hostetter, but a mini version. Interior looks nice and no problems with the service. The menu is very limited and it's small inside. Unimpressed because I liked the orange crush at…More »
I wish they had this place on the mainland. We tried to make a reservation but they were booked until 9 I think. We tried again a few nights later and got a good reservation. The place is very busy but well worth it. The sushi was absolutely to…More »
Only been here for lunch, but my experience was pretty good. There was a huge selection of rolls for a good price. I got the orange blossom which had salmon on the outside and tuna on the inside...i really liked it. The service was good, they were…More »
I liked the quality of the rolls and the atmosphere of the place. The service has ranged from ok to awesome. Ok being: they simply got us our orders and occasionally refilled drinks, and awesome being: a waitress was down to help us pull a…More »
All you can eat had a great selection to chose from. The food was all good, but what I liked the best was our cute little sushi boat booth. I loved being able to cook the meat at our table too.
The service was not all that good. I asked several…More »
3.5 rounded up.
I probably should have gotten the all you can eat option, but I didn't want to go into sushi coma. Got the cowboy and dragon roll. Both were pretty good. Then we got the bill and (I know, our bad...) just put the cc in the folder…More »
Everyone who's been giving it 1 star (and that's being generous) is absolutely correct about this place!! IT SUCKS! I've had better sushi at Lucky.
Came here unplanned bc we were running late and couldnt squeeze in enough time at cheesecake.

Sushi Boat has got to sink! Due to my horrible experience at the Sushi Boat in VF, I was very reluctant to eat here. The service is a million times better here, but that's the only good thing about this place. We were checked on often and when we…More »
Sashimi is just ok here. The rolls are nothing spectacular, but it's nice to know theres the all you can eat option. There's also some special membership that I think is a rip off.
The service here SUCKS. Sometimes they will completely forget you…More »
My favorite sushi place in the bay area! The rolls are HUGE, cheap, fresh and YUMMY! It's so far, but it's a pretty good eat before a Warriors game. I've been here cause I was in the area...and also if I wasn't. There have been some changes over…More »
Unimpressive sushi menu. Majority of the special sushi rolls were cooked and not a single one sounded appealing. I think I was gonna end up ordering curry, but tell me why the most appetizing item on the menu was curry at a place called SUSHI itto.…More »

I see a lot of negative reviews about this place, but I didn't think it was so bad. We were treated well and I enjoyed the fresh sushi.

AMAZING service, experience, and sashimi! Bonus star bumped up for the service!! I am definitely coming back here again and again.

Came here because I thought it was a sister store to Sushi Tomi in Mtn. View/SJ, but dyslexic me didn't realize they were different restaurants. Lunch bento box is a good deal, but the sashimi was icy. After we were seated, no one gave us water or…More »
One time, close to closing, they ran out of a specific type of fish. Half our table was informed, so we couldn't order any rolls that had that fish. The other half did not know about the lack of sushi, so they were given rolls that had replaced it…More »
I like sushi. No, I love sushi! But definitely don't like the sushi here.
I did not like the quality of the sushi at all, and the service was mediocre. Quiet, boring atmosphere for a restaurant. I'd rather drive the distance to find better sushi.More »
One of my favorite sushi places! It's weird that it's at a mall, but it has a hip ambiance and the sushi is great! From Davis, it's closer than Mikuni's with less wait time, so it's a good alternative. Also just as pricey, but its worth what you…More »
YUCK! When I get sushi cravings, I get tempted to come here between classes but it is SO not worth it. Its "cheap" but really it's a waste of money cause I end up still hungry and craving GOOD sushi.
I am not feeling this place, but my friend who brought me here swears its better than the experience I had. I got the sunshine roll and the salmon tasted old and chewy. I think we got a dragon roll too, but I wasn't impressed either. Service…More »
I am a fan! Nice interior, no problems with service and yummy sushi.
ALWAYS get the grilled edamame! Tried a bunch of different rolls, but my fav has been the jalepeno hamachi.
