First, Pee Wee Herman would love this store. Love it.
Second, I'm adding this to the list of ways to entertain my nieces and nephew when they come to visit me.
Third, I love that the employees don't hate life. They were genuinely in a good mood and…More »

This place is always crowded. I swear, they just pack as many people in here as possible!
Get here right when the doors open or pay the consequences later by waiting in line outside. And bring your patience! You will most likely have to wait for the…More »
I didn't see any diapers in the sand or gross amounts of trash. Then again I wasn't examining the sand that closely. It's a public beach. It's free. I did, however, notice that the sand is a bit rough and not as fine as the sand at North Avenue…More »
While waiting to leave the museum campus we were waiting for the 146 bus, but then decided to move to the free trolley line. Within 10 minutes a full trolley showed up......but luckily everyone got off to go to the Field Museum. We got a seat and a…More »

This review is for the water taxi.
While it's hard to find the information on its website, the water taxi leaves about every 20 minutes from Union Station to Navy Pier.

Oh the things I do for my niece. If she only knew that I braved Navy Pier. On a Saturday.
For my niece's birthday I decided to get her a Build-a-Bear gift card. I've never been there but I know the concept involves stuffing a bear, buying it an…More »
I'm glad I checked out a Children's Museum pass at the library rather than paying admission. This gets up to four people in. Once inside you can make a donation.
The first two hands-on exhibits that we touched were broken. Not a good start. However,…More »

Let me start this review by saying I despise zoos. And whenever I visit Lincoln Park Zoo, I despise zoos even more.
The animals don't look good. And they look sad. I feel sorry for them.
I would say that they should charge admission that should go…More »
My goal was to find a sit-down restaurant that is on the way from Union Station to Millennium Park that has a children's menu. I initially walked into Exchequer but it was so dark and dingy that I could not bring myself to take my 5-year-old nephew…More »

Oh no she didn't....
Oh yes I did!
I went to Rainforest Caf. But I did it for my 5 year old niece.
+Scary mechanical animals help pass the time while waiting for food. We sat by the apes. We took pictures by the elephants.

This review is coming from a person who does not own a dog.
Without cable, we have been having to get creative when it comes to entertaining ourselves. Sad, I know. But, we figure that we should be outside anyway so we decided to venture to Montrose…More »

Update 5/12/08
Everything here is good. Red velvet cupcakes are delicious and have the best frosting. I even liked the carrot cake cupcake (very moist) and I don't even like carrot cake.
Rock on, Sweet Honeybee!
