I don't think there's ever a time that I haven't visited Granville Island when I'm in Vancouver. I remember coming here as a kid, window shopping at all the fun stores, grabbing lunch at one of the many booths and admiring all the fresh produce. This…More »

Came here in February 2005 when it was the worst winter at Whistler/Blackcomb. So bad that they didn't have enough snow to keep the mid-mountain area open, which sucked.
Otherwise, the runs, the people, the snow...was stellar! I've never traveled…More »

Stanley Park is one of the greatest parks I know. It was Vancouver's first park that opened in 1888 and spans about 1,000 acres. It's located downtown, but once you step foot within in the park, you'll get lost and even forget that you're downtown…More »
Before the fro-yo craze, there was the Sprinkles craze and even before that was when I had my first bite from a cupcake from this store. I was so impressed with the size and the cost (CAD $2.95/ea) that I had to sink my teeth into one.

Haven't found a better fish and chips place in Richmond. The batter here is light and the fish is flaky. A bit oily, but what fish and chips place isn't? I've been coming here since I was a kid and it's a definite family oriented place where locals…More »

It shoots steam and tells the time, hence, the "steam clock." :o)
The area is pretty historic with cobblestoned streets and lots of souvenir shops around. Lots of other historic landmarks in the vicinity.

One of the best darn sushi places in Vancouver. I went with a large party and we ordered several rolls. The fish in the rolls were fresh and the rice wasn't soggy or mushy and the rolls never split apart, even though they were busting at the seams!
Every time I visit Vancouver, my cousins take me here. I don't know if it's for the desserts or for the guy who works there that's a hoot. No matter the reason for visiting, I'm always happy to visit, sit my butt down on those red, plush, comfy…More »
