Ramen Santouka gets my top ranking of all the ramen-ya's that I visited in Vancouver. In fact, I visited three times during my one week stay, which let's you know how much I liked it.
The main reason Santouka is tops in my book is their soup. This…More »

What a beautiful, wonderful garden. I visited on a rainy day, but the loveliness of the space transcends any weather. Well worth a visit. If I were local, I'd go frequently.

Sugoi! This place alone makes me wish I lived in Vancouver. If you are into Japanese music at all, definitely a must visit. Some great bargains. I bought several CDs, some for only $3. Big selection of Japanese books, too (if you can read Japanese).

A lovely Chinese style garden, just a step inside of Chinatown. Makes a nice change from the bustle outside on the street. You are really transported somewhere else.
There are two parts, the free public garden and paid admittance part. I do recommend…More »
