Just needed to get out of the house and burn off some steam Sunday and this piece of paradise was the perfect place. Got there about 6PM so it was relatively quiet, and could've had the place to ourselves til 9 if we'd wanted.
As mentioned you can…More »

Cool place to come for a lunchtime bite, food is tasty and the prices rock! Have always had good service, and find the staff friendly, welcoming and fast.

My go-to place in Kits for bulk and organics. The shelves might be a squeezed together but it's definitely worth a wander through to find some interesting and new things to take home and try. Good selection of apples - you'll see lined up outside -…More »
Was pretty impressed. They had exactly what my friend (who was sick of eating crappy hospital food) wanted - shrimp, basil, garlic fettuccine - and if they hadn't had it on the menu they said I could build my own. I called ahead and they said…More »
I've gone for several gym visits and always feel satisfied when I leave. The equipment is kept well-maintained and clean, there are sign-up boards to help with busy periods, a couple different rooms with gym equipment, TVs, co-ed sauna and a hot-tub…More »
The Munin is a 40ft replica of a Norwegian viking ship. We found it one day on a stroll by Heritage Harbour, just behind the Maritime Museum. For a donation you can go aboard for a ride. We booked a couple days in advance, got a 1PM time slot and…More »

While it's no MOMA - I didn't leave feeling so inspired I imagined I would become the world's next Warhol - I was impressed with the projects they'd brought in. First floor: stodgy Dutch masters. Seen it, done it, kinda bored with it. Plus they…More »
We were jonsing for breakfast and asked a couple on their bikes where to go in Brackendale. They said they always go to The Nest. I can see why. First they let us know that benny's are 2 for 1 all summer weekends. There were several kinds to…More »

This is the kind of place you want to like. I went in, just needing a nickel-coated light plate. I found one in a bin amongst a bunch of others with a $1 price tag. Happy at my find I brought it to the front, where 3 girls sat bored out of their…More »

I could spend hours here, actually I think I did. So many sections: girls, guys, skate, sale, repair. I didn't find the snowboard jacket I was looking for but no one In Van seems to have it. We did find skate shoes, snowboard boots, a sick helmet…More »

Was recently just exploring my new neighborhood in Vancouver when I spotted this place. From the look of it I thought it was a board shop at first until I realized it was a resto which was great 'cause I was…More »
Cute little spot near the aquarium to grab a bite. We ordered 2 pieces of fish and chips (for $9 or 10) to share while we sat at the nearby beach and watched the action. Considering this is fast food park-style I thought it was pretty decent and a…More »
Great shop. Always find what I'm looking for at fab prices. Was impressed when my bf was picking up an expensive hardcover he wanted and the store clerk pointed to a bargain bin where he could find it cheaper. Knowledgeable staff too.

What a delightful little shop, worth the walk up Commercial. Lots of darling pieces to peruse and at great prices too. Last time I was here I picked up a slouchy winter hat (for $12) I can't stop wearing (lots of compliments too) and some black…More »
On a blustery day after a long wet bike ride through Pacific Spirit park this was the perfect apres ride resto. We curled up in a booth and had pots of tea brought to us by the hospitable hostess. It's worth going here alone to meet this lovely…More »
Total score! So happy I found this place. Great selection of teak and rosewood Danish modern pieces, everything from 8-chair dining rooms sets to desks to bar sets and even sixties wall-units with built-in bar fridges. You'll definitely find a…More »

Going into the Boardroom for me is like being a kid in a candyshop. This is one of the best snowboard shops around! Their clothing is selective and stylish, not just a bunch of hoodies with crappy graphics. It might be pricier for the threads but…More »

Browsing for wireless in Kits led me to Take 5. It was the nicest of the cafes with wireless I passed. Big outlets on the wall beckoned by big brown leather chairs but there are some sweet high-seat spots at the window too. The huge cuppa coffee…More »
In an area suffering from fast food overload it was a relief to find this little diner offering up a tasty array of "homemade" meals. I like their $5 veggie wrap best, though it's much more like a burrito since it's got warm rice inside. I get them…More »
Cheap and tasty sushi was what I was looking for and what The Sushi Bar dishes up. A heaping plate of spicy tuna sashimi was a great value for $7.50, only place I've ever found a decent plate of this before was at a strip mall in Sherman Oaks, LA.…More »

Lots of tasty options here for a quick bite or a sit down. Place is hidden in an odd office complex but worth looking for if you want a breakfast treat. Decor could use some updating.

One of the cheapest places I've found to eat in Kitsilano. Tasty too. Nice selection of vegetarian options. Only lament is that it's a bit grimy. Check your cutlery before you dig in.
I guess Robson is known for overly generic stores like these and while no one may feel the need to review it I've gotta tell you that today I picked up a sweet pair of jeans here for a steal. I browsed around, passing by all the cutesy summer styles…More »
