Fabulous area of town to walk through - don't forget your camera. Unlike any "old" or historic part of any city in Canada (that I've been in anyway... Victoria, Vancouver, Toronto... I'm not sure if any part of Calgary is old...). An amazing feel to…More »

This Tim Hortons is located at the conference center (Palais de Congres), and provided my morning coffee for about a week. And sometimes mid afternoon or evening coffees as well. I was very fortunate to discover that Tim Hortons will actually put a…More »

I attended a conference here in 2006, and it was a great convention center. It was spacious, the rooms were comfortable, and facilities were spotless. Another plus is drinking water was provided throughout the conference in the rooms - this seems so…More »

Indigo is part of a Canadian chain of bookstores that span across the country. I had time to kill in downtown Montreal, and this was a pretty nice place to do it (and was familiar, also a plus when you're alone in a new city and don't speak the…More »

I think Roots is much better than the Gap - better quality (their stuff will last for ages), and a bit more sports focused in general. The prices aren't too bad, especially if you hit their sales or their outlet locations. I've always appreciated…More »

I stayed at the Hyatt for a week in April 06, and I have to say it was a mostly negative experience.

Froyo, Fro-yo, Frogurt: The Frozen Yogurt list (15)

Good frozen yogurt found in the bay area, ordered from best to not-as-best-but-still-goo d-tasting-how-can-you-go- wrong-with-frogurt. OK, I lie, I'm adding a few outside-of-bay-area spots to the bottom of this list -- for you frogurt eaters venturing forth.

You know, it used to be hard to find frozen yogurt, but now it's everywheres.

Long live ass pants (9)

Lululemon around the bay area, and a little beyond. And can you say "most useless list EVER"?  It's just a little too pro-pricey-yoga-wear to make it useful. That's a lot of hella-repetitive five star reviews, I gotta say...
