Oh man, the Nino Pobre sandwich is f*ckin delicious.
Holy crap. I just inhaled it. Endorphins firing. Yes. Go get it. Run now.
Delicious. We had the pork chop and bistek, the flavors popped and the meats were cooked perfectly.… Read more »
Awesome Pollo Al Carbon! (Grilled chicken)
They grill the chicken outside over a huge charcoal grill. The chicken is dry spiced, and puts Mi Pueblo's grilled chicken to shame. They have a lot more spices going on, and a bit of heat from cayenne…More »
Authentico!
This place has buche (beef intestines), tripas (pork tripe), lengua, cabeza and all the other standard meats for your tacos.
The salsa bar has about six or so different salsas, none of which were too spicy. It also has radishes and…More »
We stopped by on the way to Bodega Bay.
This pizzeria uses zero zero flour, just like Zero Zero in the City and I actually preferred their crust, which was thin and crispy. Zero Zero's is a bit too chewy for me.
We started with the ceasar salad and…More »
We enjoyed Boca Pizzeria so we tried their sister restaurant on the way back home. It's an Argentinian steakhouse with a comfy, warm ambiance.
We started with the trio of tartare: tuna, salmon, and beef. I liked the beef the best.
I ordered the ribeye…More »
Venturing from my usual lunchtime fare, I tried one of the plethora of Thai restaurants in the downtown area. I assumed they'd all be Americanized Thai, but I was pleasantly surprised by My Thai.
I had the Hot & Pepper, which comes with bamboo shoot,…More »

The Cuban chef here really knows what he's doing.
Just had the Cubano sandwich today and it was probably the best version of it I've ever had. it comes with moist chunks of pork (carnitas like) and a thick slice of smoky ham, mustard, mayo, pickles…More »
Newish unsuspecting diner, with a Cuban chef. They just added a Cuban special on the menu yesterday,… Read more »
The grocery store itself is not too shabby, but this review goes to the grilled chicken stand outside. While you can also get the chicken at the taqueria inside, I've found it's much fresher outside.
It's become my favorite burrito in town, well…More »
Only place in town for Pho but pretty good nevertheless.
They give you a ton of beef here! Broths are properly clear, tasty and meaty. Meats are tender and tendon is properly cooked to a nice chewiness.
Downhill alert.
Past few times, the al pastor has been less than stellar. Chips are store bought. Go to Taqueria Bahia for tacos authentico.
Good thing work is transferring away from this culinary wasteland. LOL
Best bang for your buck in town.
You can get outta here for 4 bucks and change and be extremely full.…

Happy to find a decent sushi spot near work.
We had the Umi Lady Roll with unagi, hamachi, something else which was pretty tasty.
The spicy tuna roll was not ovely spicy like you'd find elsewhere, very nice.
Negitoro was a smallish roll, I wanted a bit…More »
Came here because Tyler Florence said it was "the best burger ever", so obviously I had high expectations.
I had the Spicy Sly burger, medium rare. Unfortunately, the bell peppers and spicey sauce overwhelmed the burger. The patty was overcooked and…More »
Stopped by after a nice day at Stinson Beach.
The margherita pizza wasn't bad, definitely a lot of chees but tasty. The crust was pretty lackluster though, just thin with no charring.
The ceasar salad was really good, nicely dressed and seasoned.

Pho Quest (54)I appreciate a good pho broth. A broth more about the essence of the beef bones it was cooked with a light undertone of onions to complement and slightly sweeten the broth. I'm not too keen on too much anise or cloves, the less the better. This perfectly balanced pho broth should induce you to eat slowly, appreciating the savory goodness, and drink the broth to the last drop.... Oh yeah, fresh beef is a must! |
