I believe Heidi's is the only restaurant within the Commerce Court food bunker that is not part of a chain. Perhaps that is why it offers better food at better prices than most of the neighbouring bunker tenants.
While most places within the…More »

Within the Banker's Bunkers, this place has the most inventive and delicious soups, by far. Being conveniently located under a spacious stairwell helps ensure that there is plenty of room for the 25 people in line ahead of you. There are always about…More »

When you can't stand the idea of the food court at the bottom of whichever bank tower you work in, and your time permits, this is a great little spot to get away from the masticating masses. Just off the PATH system, Thai Dish offers real forks,…More »

This is the HQ of fast chinese food in the area. They've launched forays into the food court proper at First Canadian and into all the surrounding food courts as well. But this is the center of it all.

Being at the base of a 56 story building means that this location has long line ups. Much longer line ups than the nearby Yonge Street location, but the salads are prepared with move love and more lettuce. Focusing on upscale sandwiches and…More »

Beer Bistro offers a place with great food and beer in an atmosphere that's comfortable but upscale enough to for entertaining your less uptight clients. I know it's not too far from Bier Market and those other places, but this place is in a whole…More »

Do you remember those "Participant" ribbons that the losers and the simply disinterested would get at grade school field days? That's what I think about when eating at Bikkuri: Participant. The place gets a few marks for showing up, and that's it.…More »
I dislike this place for the same reason that I dislike suburbs, SUVs, wal-marts and The Eagles. Unfortunately, I don't know what that reason is. So, I'm giving Irish Embassy a three star rating.
First off, as others have said, there's pretty…More »
The pizza and sandwiches are good here, but the prices are high and I always leave feeling a lot of sticker shock. Pizza specials turn out to have enough stipulations to ensure that the deal you thought you were getting evaporates by the time you…More »

People in the Zteca line, please get a life. How badly do you actually need a burrito? Why do you put up with such crappy food, high prices and disdainful service? And why, why are there so many of you?!
I don't get why people throng around this…More »

Ouch. This place is looking a bit sad and lonely since my last time here in the summer. The croissants now look like they were picked up at loblaws.
Went here this morning after reading Kat's review. Wow, where has this place been hiding from me?… Read more »

Restaurants My Mother Would Like (8)Looking back on some reviews, I noticed a theme concerning restaurants that I thought were too staid and unadventurous for my liking. I've taken my mother to Dim Sum and to Grossman's, but only for the shock value. She didn't eat anything at Dim Sum and let's not even discuss Grossman's. Anyways, these are places that I think she would enjoy. Maybe I should take her to one of these places to make it up to her. |
Reviews I wish people had read (3)Looking back on my reviews, I notice that some of my favourites received zero feedback. So here they are in list form. |
