It's not like it's the worst strip club ever or anything. I just would rather go to the Penthouse or the No. 5 Orange where the strippers seem like they're at least having fun up on stage. Anyway, here are my notes. You can decide for yourself.

The Toronto airport doesn't offer a lot of choices unfortunately. When I got here two friends were waiting and thank goodness one of them shared his food with me or I would have gone hungry - the service was the pits. I did manage to get a Bloody…More »

Ummmm, I'm not convinced. I took my mum to Steveston during her visit from Ottawa. She's an ex-Brit so I thought this would be a fun outing. I bought some very delicious toffees just like the ones my grandmother used to keep in the sitting room in…More »
My first time ever to a HomeSense and I was kind of excited. A friend said they sold curtains - wrong, at least not at this one. I thought I'd look for a heavy frying pan as the one I have is warped now. All the ones I could see were Teflon…More »
I really have nothing positive to say about this airport. I realise I'm spoiled by Vancouver's airport so I'll go for two stars. When I made my connection on my latest trip it was boiling hot and muggy inside, security was painfully slow which was…More »
I'll start with the positive notes which could be enough for some. Nice, friendly staff, big room that's good for groups, large selection of draught beer, it's in the Marine Building which is one of the most beautiful buildings in the city. I had a…More »

Maybe Tuesday night on Commercial Drive are just super quiet but this place was dead. It's so large and rather stark so when it's empty it feels kind of lifeless. Our server wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer but she tried. I'm not sure if…More »

Kino Café - you got some 'splaining to do!
So you get two stars -almost 2 1/2. Why? The Sangria at $19.50/jug is TASTY! Also, the server was nice, just not very efficient. Plus, if I was a smoker, that back deck smoking area is a sweet addition.

The service here is terrible. The orange-aproned staff wander around aimlessly unless you have a question. Then they're busy. Too busy to help you, too busy to get someone who can help you. If you do find someone who isn't too busy it's likely…More »

What can I say? It's Moxie's, I wasn't expecting a lot. Went with friends. Our server Madison was friendly and enthusiastic. The Belini was average and the nachos were greasy and lacking much cheese coverage.
The only things saving this from being 1 star are its gorgeous patio and our very smiley server who held it together despite being completely bombarded by customers needing drinks.
It was Pride and you're a gay bar on the Davie strip - why on earth…More »

We stopped in for a quick beer and snack and sat on the small patio to do some Granville @ Robson people watching which is always entertaining.
The menu really didn't excite me and I was leary of ordering the crab and artichoke dip but the choices…More »
If you like over the top cheesy neon coloured lighting, over-priced sweet cocktails that don't taste like they have booze in them and very average food then you'll be happy here. I kind of felt like I was walking on to the set of an Ed Hardy…More »
This place took over the Prima Taste Singaporean Restaurant and looks the same inside. I might go back when the throngs of Olympic visitors are gone. The staff were definitely having a hard time keeping up with business but at least they were…More »

I found the miso too salty and the wasabi lacking in zing. The sushi and sashimi were ok but I have better choices in Yaletown.
1) The server really didn't have much of a clue. It's fine if you can't do separate checks (I guess). At least she split them into groups of four. Still, she clearly didn't know how to number her order pad so when other people came out with our…More »
This place was in between where a friend and I live so we met in the middle for dinner. It wasn't awful but there are too many other options in life for me to be compelled to return.
