A great bulk store. Huge selection and great prices. Very clean and well organized. Come here for all your nuts, spices, baking supplies, bulk peanut butter, etc. Save yourself some cash and avoid all the packaging that comes with stuff from the…More »

Finding this little asian market instantly made my life in Guelph more enjoyable. It's not much to look at and it would probably only be a 3 star place in Toronto but in Guelph it's a solid resource.

Most of the stuff here is canned or packaged. You…More »

The best big grocery store in Guelph.

You could certainly save some money and go to No Frills. Personally I generally pay the extra cash and go to Metro for the much better selection and somewhat higher quality. It's also clean, bright, and well…More »

Essentially the only real option for groceries in downtown Guelph. Market Fresh is a small place consisting of two rooms. The front room is produce, meats, and cheese. The fruit and vegetable selection is pretty good and this is really the only thing…More »

The Bad:
1. They advertise service every 20 minutes as though that's a good thing.
2. The routes are ridiculously convoluted. It's fine for getting from downtown to campus but anything else and you probably need a map.
3. Half the time the buses don't…More »

The Woolwich Arms, aka The Wolly, is a little pub in an old house on the outskirts of downtown. The atmosphere is laid back and the crowd is more mature than some of the undergrad dominated spots downtown. The space consists of a few connected rooms…More »

A reliable spot for simple alterations. You can probably find a cheaper place to get alterations done but Stitch It is convenient and quick. They're in Stone Road Mall and they usually turn stuff around within the same day or the next day.

I've been living at Ossington & Bloor for a few years now and I love the area. This is a list of places I frequent in the area: restaurants, shops, and services. A work in progress as I try new places and write more reviews.

I've recently resolved to explore the hippest meal of the day: Brunch. These are my findings in order of goodness.

Eating in the Boonies (6)

I'm a born and raised downtown Torontonian and I rarely get out of the city's core. High Park, Eglinton, and the Don River are the rough limits of my Toronto. These are some of the places I've ventured out of my geographical comfort zone to eat at.

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth (14)

My favourite spots for dessert and other sweet things. Whether it's hot chocolate, cake, ice cream, or pie, I'm on it! In rough order of awesomeness.
