2 thumbs and 2 big toes up! A little expensive but when you consider the ice cream is handmade it's worth it.
I really enjoy this place. They have a great Americano. Staff is friendly and the place is also bike friendly. They have a nice but small patio which is great for summer sipping.
This location is a new addition to the neighbourhood. I have to say I was pretty excited when I saw that they were opening up. Definitely a welcome addition to Leslieville.
The pizza is pretty standard and on par with all the other Pizzaiolo…More »
Excellent espresso and yummy baked goods. Nice bonus is free wifi which makes it a favourite haunt for laptop toting "web workers".
Best sushi take-out in town. Amazing quality of fish and friendly staff. A little on the expensive side but they make up for it in all sorts of "on-the-house" extras...
I decided to sign up for an intro to Pilates class here. The studio is fairly new and I think it has only been at this location for a short while. They offer a ton of classes through the week along with a variety of therapeutic treatments like…More »

Great for brunch especially in the summer with multiple patio options.
Over the last few months I've heard a lot of good things about Helo Velo and finally got a chance to check them out myself.
The shop is located on Carlaw just north of Queen. The front door is a little hidden down an alley but if you look for the big…More »

I've been a member for a few years now. Price is decent. Gym isn't super fancy but they have everything you need to get a good workout. It's pretty much the neighbourhood gym and you always tend to run into "the regulars".
Reliable Fish and Chips lives up to their name. The place has been around a long time and has recently been renewed thanks to a TV restaurant makeover show. The fish is fresh and the fries are nice and crispy. Portions are ample and cooked to…More »
The Real Jerk is one of the top roti places in the city. Being veggie, I highly recommend their lentil roti dinner. It'll fill you up and leave you enough for a second meal or lunch treat. The place isn't necessarily the fanciest or prettiest, but…More »
Carbon is a great local Mac shop. Have used their service depot a couple times and they have taken good care of me. They tend to carry things you can't find at the Apple Store...
This place is the best paint store I have ever gone to and continue to buy all my paint here anytime I have a job to do. The staff is amazing and really know their stuff. They are always happy to help you, even if you don't know what you're doing.

This is a slightly older, less fancy Loblaws compared to others in the area, but it gets the job done consistently.
They have a pretty large selection of fruits and vegetables that are typically quite fresh although on the rare occasion they tend to…More »

Sushi Bar is a brand new addition to Leslieville. They have taken over the location formerly occupied by SOMA Lounge right at the corner of Queen and Broadview. If you are looking for reasonably priced sushi with a large menu, but nothing too…More »

LabSpace is a great venue. Super affordable for art shows, gatherings, parties, etc. Owners were amazing and really easy going. Great facility and easily accessible by transit.
I'm a big fan of the pasta on the menu. The gorgonzola gnocchi is a regular favourite of mine. If you are in need of a reliable neighbourhood spot this is it.

The Comrade is one of the neatest neighbourhood lounges I have come across as of late. It's dark. It's a little mysterious. It's perfect for handing out with friends over drinks. The place is filled with plush chairs and feels like there are lots…More »
