I fa-reaking lahv this place, okay?!?!?!?! I will marry it, so help me god. And then they'll write a story about me in the papers, cause look, it's another freak-woman who's marrying herself or an inanimate object or something.
So maybe the aisles are…More »

How in God's name have I not written a review for UH yet, when you can see my face there at least 3x a week?
You: "3x a week, and you only gave it 3 stars??"
Me: "Thank you, Captain Obvious. I'll tell you why."
There are two things on the menu that…More »

Forget about the great vintage boutiques, cheap produce and specialty food shops - the BEST thing about Kensington is the variety of walk-and-eat snack selections. I thiiiiiiiiiink this may be my favourite of the bunch. (And it's a good bunch.)

Ok, I KNOW this doesn't make sense, but I'll say it anyway: I don't eat cow or pig (or various 4-legged animals).. but I've been VERY excited to check out Sanagan's.
Why? Oh, I'll tell you. After watching Food Inc. and reading The Omnivore's Dilemma,…More »

Of all the bakeries in the world, I think I am most in love with this one. True, I've only been to about 25 bakeries in my day, and most have them have been in Nova Scotia or Ontario (maybe a couple in New York), and I'm SURE there are some pretty…More »
I'm A Dirty Hippy (8)I've gone vegan, jerks. Here are some vegan-y type places in Toronto. |
El Hayyy (4)I like, go to Los Angeles a lot. Not enough to pick "The Best", but enough to start rounding up my reviews. |
OK Fine, Maybe College Street Is Better (8)I moved to College St, and I love it even more than the gaybourhood. These are places I can reach within 20 minutes of walking from my lair. |
Why Living In The Village Is The Best (10)I'm convinced that the gaybourhood is probably the best place to live in this city. The tiny strip on Church between Wellesley and Alexander is enough to make you feel like you're at home in a small town. The scene is always bustling, lively and friendly; there's no shortage of interesting sights AND everything you need is within a 10 minute walking distance. |
