I've been to Guu several times since I first came here and no meal has disappointed, in spite of its high price tag. The reason why I'm writing an update for this place is because I wanted to make a record of the great night I had and the delicious…More »

One of the best quality cheap sushi i've ever had in toronto.
The $10 bento box comes with a spicy salmon handroll, large pieces of salmon sashimi, three spicy salmon maki, and three california maki, and three eel sushi. It is SO worth it. Comes with…More »

The first hint about this place is the name of the restaurant--if you're in a sake sushi bar, expect to drink. This place is super awesome for groups of people who is looking to spend the night drinking. Keep ordering the drinks the free food just…More »
This Guu is not like the other Guu...when compared to the Guu Izakaya on church this one:
- is a bit lacking in service
- the menu is not as big,
- the wait time is so much shorter (i.e., there was no wait!) In fact, this Guu is so much less busy,…More »

Came here for dinner on Saturday night. We were driving around the area and asked Yelp where to take us for some yummy Japanese and the reviews took us here.
The place was reasonably busy but not packed, due to their location on Don Mills where most…More »

The food here is really good, but the place is small and very busy.
We got a couple of rolls (dynamite, spicy salmon, and catepillar) and a Seafood udon. All the rolls are soooo good and i especially loved the spicy salmon, which was only 4.50. The…More »

There are two types of sushi eaters.
1. Normal sushi eaters who love their sashimi, sushi, and makis
2. Lame ppl like me, who don't eat raw fish, but love all the rolls and hot foods.
If you are a lame person like me, you won't really get the hype of…More »
I don't think I really got the full Ematei experience because it was just the two of us and we just ordered a couple of Entrees and an appetizer, but the food from what I have tried was very good.
It wasn't very busy on a Wednesday night and the…More »
I do love this place. In fact, I loved it so much the first time I came here, I suggested that we come back again the next day with a different group of people. The Netsu and Tonkotsu ramen I tried were so delicious that even though I wasn't hungry,…More »
After coming here, I have decided that as long as i have a means to get to this location as opposed to the one at Dundas, i'd pick the Bloor one for sure. Why? Because this place doesn't require you to stand outside in the cold as you wait for seats.…More »
I always get my hair done at the Salon next door and once in a while, when I'm starving, I'd end up eating here after with a friend or get takeout from here. I've never loved anything here prior so I eventually just stopped coming here. One time I…More »

Despite the not so great reviews on Yelp, my boyfriend and I tried to the lunch all you can eat sushi here and we were pleasantly surprised. At the price of $11.99, do expect the menu to be small. No sashimi but salmon sushi is available. They have a…More »
We went there for lunch and their selection is a lot smaller, but the price is also a lot cheaper. For 12.99 you can get all kinds of special rolls, nigiri, hot foods, dessert, starters, etc.

Love their noodle and broth every time I go, no matter what I try, I'm almost never disappointed. This time I had their new tomyum noodle with teriyaki beef. The noodle an dbroth is good, and the beef was amazing.

I came here under the recommendation of a friend who said Fin is parallel to Guu. Although i've never been to Guu, we had a 12 people party, there was just no way for Guu and so I booked this place.
Because this place is so much bigger than Guu, my…More »

Your typical family run sushi place. Small, large portions for a cheap price, quality is meh. Their rolls are gigantic and their tempura roll is surprisingly tasty. Don't go for their Udon special, not recommended.

Admittedly I didnt come here for the food but for the company so I didn't really know what I was eating. In fact, I didnt even notice that they forgot to bring me rice for my bulgogi bento box (14.95). Besides the lack of rice for our group's bento…More »

Service is extremely poor, food is mediocre. If I want to go eat ramen in downtown Toronto, this place would be my last choice. I mean, their ramen is on par with the rest of the Aijisen chain, but there is so much better out there.
i have trouble deciding between a 2 or 3 star. But as all my friends continue to tell me...do you really expect service and quality for ayce?
The good:
- cooked food came very fast and most were delicious. my fav was beef short rib
- spicy salmon rolls…More »
