Just a quick update that I forgot to write the first time around...I signed up for Sugarbush's online email newsletter like I did for most other ski resorts. Whoever writes the email notes writes with inspiration with a bit of whimsy- I look forward…More »

Stayed at the Center Village condos in Sugarbush Village, which are the 1st set of condos to the right of the Lincoln Peak base lodge (if you're looking up at the mountain). We reserved a small studio style room, which is actually a one bedroom w/ 1…More »

OK, I grew up in Vermont and Massachusetts and have had my share of cider and cider donuts...this place has the BEST, by far. Grab a 1/2 (or whole) dozen and a cider slush...best value ever. Lots of Vermonty stuff for purchase, as well as a view of…More »
I think my turkey & cheddar sandwich may have been the best sandwich ever...but that was because I was starving after skiing all day. It was a pretty good sandwich but the main draw is the Vermont-y vibe this place on Main St has. A couple tables…More »
Nice service at the bar- quick too! Hearty food, large portions, good value. I had the pulled chicken sandwich and a double side (you get two) of mac & cheese. Neither was authentic BBQ food but it was comfort food and good after a day of skiing.…More »
I've been here a few times, with varied experiences. As other Yelpers described, this place is a teaching restaurant so it's nice to support an educational organization. In general, the service is spotty since the students are learning so don't…More »
Great location in Waterbury, near I-89. Good value for the area if you don't want to pay the high lodging prices closer to Stowe or Sugarbush (or be held to a 2-night minimum)- it's about 30 min to the mountains. I've gone to Sugarbush as my last…More »

Many a stop here while traversing I-89...who doesn't need an ice cream break while on a road trip? Factory tour is just ok- we all know we go here for the ice cream and the Ben-and-Jerry-experience- get your tie-dye t-shirt and Vermont souvenirs in…More »
I was lucky enough to get to try American Flatbread at their original & signature location in Waitsfield's Lareau Farm during Christmas vacation week. They usually are only open for dinner on Thu-Sun but they also opened for dinner for the holiday…More »
Inman Park/Old 4th Ward (25)Inman Park and Old Fourth Ward! Trying out all the places near where I live...love this neighborhood. |
Making myself pretty (or at the very least- not scary) (10)I don't wake up looking like this...I gotta work at it. OK, not "work" per se, more like "pay" for it. |
Decatur (9)Tons of great places to eat & imbibe...all within walking distance of a square. |
Tastes of the Far East (20)Asian restaurants in Atlanta- I'm slowly compiling reviews from all the Asian restaurants I've tried in Atlanta- Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc...no 5-stars yet but plenty of 2-3-4 star places. |
Carbo Loading- Italian Style (Atlanta) (9)Italian dining in Atlanta has made me a little gun shy...while I love Italian food, I had a couple awful Italian food experiences when I first arrived in this city and usually end up at the same 2-3 Italian places I do like...so hopefully, making a list will encourage me to try a few more restaurants out there. Here's all of what I tried (minus the pizza places). |
Desert weekend getaway (11)Arizona vacation- Quick relaxing getaway, I need to make this a regular vacation destination! |
Party of one! Dining solo (19)Places in Atlanta where I've felt comfortable dining by myself. The only requirement is that there's a bar or small tables off to the side- nice bartenders, easy parking and good people watching areas also are a plus. For me personally, It's also nice to have no judgment or people staring if I want to order multiple dishes to try and bring leftovers home :) |
Restaurants to bring out-of-towners (14)Here's where I've brought family & friends visiting from out of town, who want some type of Atlanta food experience |
Being a tourist in Atlanta (13)I moved to Atlanta 2 years ago but I still enjoy exploring the city like a tourist. |
Dim Sum Quest- Atlanta (8)UPDATE: Found great dim sum!!!! See my last review on the list for Golden House.Original list description: I've pretty much given up on this one...I don't think great dim sum exists in Atlanta (especially a la carte and to go) so I'll have to settle for just good dim sum. |
