I have yet to find a place like this, especially this size. It's kept nice and clean and the front desk staff are friendly. The scrub was pretty awesome, better than I had expected (it didn't hurt like I thought it would). Everything else has already…More »
I've been here once for a massage and, of course, to use the spa facilities. The massage was quite good (I don't remember the therapist's name).
I had seen the photos on their web site and read all the reviews before I went but I was still a bit…More »

Just the experience of visiting Bliss is a special occasion for me and I leave plenty of time for it as Phil knows everything about every single item in his store and is eager to let you take home samples and tell you all about them. He is so…More »

So I heard of this place from my friend Penny who heard about this place from another grad student in our department. That student had seen an orthopedic something or other dr. who had a list of recommended massage therapy places that take our…More »

Everyone gets treated like royalty in this place. As soon as we came in, two staffers were moving tables together for us so we could sit more "romantically" haha. Then they were on hands and knees adjusting the table so it didn't wobble. Then came…More »

I like this place. You can take a photo with the Black Hole Sun, the inspiration for the Soundgarden song. Or you can sit on the grass and look out at the Space Needle or watch the squirrels. You can also check out the koi in the pond and the Seattle…More »
My of my favorite memories of summer 2008 was walking to this park with my bf on a beautiful sunny day, with some Vietnamese sandwiches, spring rolls, drinks, books, and my beach mat in hand. We had an awesome little picnic and got to watch all the…More »

I love coming here. We don't do it often enough but I don't live in the area. So the flavors I've tried are salted caramel, honey lavender, thai iced tea, scout mint, and jasmine green tea. I liked all of them though the salted caramel got a bit too…More »
Places I love to hate (17)Never go here. |
Best of Capitol Hill (30)My favorite little spots in Capitol Hill, my favorite neighborhood. If you're from Vancouver, I'd say it's a mix of Davie and Commercial Drive. If you're from the SF Bay Area, I'd say it's a mix of Castro and the Mission (minus Latino influence because Seattle is pretty darn white). |
Must sees and dos if you're visiting Seattle (11)I think I've answered the question, "what should I see/do in Seattle on my next trip" a couple dozen times, ditto for Vancouver and San Francisco where I've also lived. So here's my list of must sees, must dos, and must eats for Seattle. So far I've covered some of the eats. I will get to the must do and must sees soon. |
Chinese restaurants in Vancouver, BC (7)Vancouver BC is the mecca of good Chinese food. My parents think it's because so many of the top chefs from Hong Kong immigrated to Vancouver when HK was handed back over to China. Whatever the reason, there's no better place for Chinese food. People (e.g. Eugene at the last Elite event at Two Beers) often ask me where to go since there are tonnes of Chinese food (and other ethnic) restaurants all over Vancouver (and Richmond) so I'm going to start a list just for you folks. I grew up in Vancouver, most of my friends are from there, and my family is still there, so I should be able to come up with a good list. |
Japanese food in Seattle (6)I'm from Vancouver BC and later San Francisco, so I'm a picky eater of Japanese food because I've been spoiled silly in other cities where it's more popular. Hence, this list is short. |
