Me and my family have been coming here for YEARS and nothing has changed.
Their Sacripantina Cake (orig. from Genoa) is to die for. Just make sure if you get a full one you know how long it's going to be before you eat it (they need to be out of the…More »

ORDER THE REAL MAPLE SYRUP.
After many trips to Montreal this year, and feeding my addiction with all the "real" maple syrup I've smuggled back, I've decided that I will actually springing for their "real" maple syrup every time (yes, it's on the…More »

Very romantic, wonderful jazz pianist on some nights (make sure you bring more than your Amex so you can tip him accordingly, and call ahead to get a table/booth near him or just above him on the balcony). The bar has an incredible selection and the…More »
Best french onion soup, period, france included.Try the Salmon and Onion Crepe, if you're into that sort of thing and enjoy the Crepe Suzette for dessert with a glass of champagne. The Seafood salad is alos very good.

If you like your pizza thick and full of toppings, this is your place. Get a pitcher, and bring your iPod for the bartender. They have good taste. Perfect "base" before North Beach Bar hopping.
I went here as a kid, I went all through school (SI and St. Brendan's alumni should be familiar)
Same guys running the place all these years, nothing has changed. You'll feel embarrassed to go to Subway or Quiznos again.

two words: Osso Bucco.
It's the special on Tuesday's and it's mwah, delicious!
(I'm Italian so imagine that with all the unnecessary hand motions and the proverbial three-fingers-to-the-lips kiss into the air finale.)
When someone asks about great mexican food you probably don't think of Glen Park. But you should. If you are hungry, the steak and prawn quesadilla is excellent. And make sure you get some salsa for your chips before you leave.

It's like that scene in City Slickers with the Ben and Jerry's wannabes. Cardamom Rose and Saffron Rose Ice Cream go with everything, even extra spicy burritos from La Cumbre's across the street.
I've been going to the same Dim Sum place for several years in SF (take out Dim Sum, not sit down btw)...but after this morning at Good Mong, I will never go anywhere but Good Mong ever again.

Great burritos, never changes, I've been going here since I was 6.
Better than El Toro but parkings a little tough so get a friend to jump out and just circle the block.
