Well worth the price of admission.
In Montreal for wifey's bday and she has been talking of PDC for quite a while. After ordering a bottle of white, we had more than enough time to peruse the menu and make some choices.
Once our server appeared, we…More »
I must be getting old, as by the time we showed for our 9:30 reservation, the place was so very dark and blaring some cheesy...but awesome...tunes. Where else would you have a candle-lit dinner with a little mix of Metallica and Run DMC?

Oleg is my new best friend.
Came in here for some foie gras. Left with foie gras, homemade lobster bisque, a rabbit paté, cured bison and a duck breast.
Told him about a cheese I tried recently and he took my name and phone #, saying he would try to…More »
I am a Foie Gras whore. There, I said it.

It's been a while since I've visited this spot, but I find it a charming little place.
Lovely duck and beef dishes, but the fish here is delectable (I won't normally eat fish in a resto, as I'd rather cook it myself and screw up than let someone else…More »

Dined at Benoit while in Paris for a few days.
Old school decor, but not gawdy. Nestled right in the middle of everything (and closer still to Little Israel).
Staff was fantastic; helpful in finding a nice, local wine. Wait staff were very attentive,…More »

Calling 4 days before we wanted to eat dinner here, I wasn't surprised that we could only get a seat at the bar. But as there are only 20+ seats at this place, I think I preferred it there. The entire place including the kitchen and bar is about the…More »
Old school.
Thought it might have been formal or at least dressy, but patrons in tshirts/shorts were served, which means the 3-piece suits that servers wore were wasted on tourists.
Menu is fairly limited, but it was nice food, presented well. Good…More »
Visited this place just after my honeymoon in the south of France. Honest.
Pleasantly surprised.
Enjoyed the foie gras. My now all-time favourite dish, Cassoulet, was on the menu and fairly priced. Delicious. My better half had...can't remember…More »
Wha-happon?!
Went here with a group on a rainy Saturday night. So rainy, in fact that we had to move our group of 6 inside from the covered patio as members were getting soaked from the rain bouncing OFF the sidewalk.
No problem, but then we find out…More »
I'm amazed at the small amount and lackluster reviews of this place.

Quite a great meal. Came early and even though we booked using OpenTable and it was busy, we were allowed to sit.

Apparently, some Parisians detest this place. Must be the tourists. Visited here on my honeymoon after my sister-in-law recommended that we go.

I'm not sure how we found this little place, but it was one of my favourite meals in Gordes.
Seated on the patio, it was a lovely evening as the sun set...for those that are claustrophobic, the foliage is all-encompassing.
A great list of local wines…More »

With some time to kill before dinner reservations at Tati, I saw this place while parking the car. I was immediately drawn in by the chalkboard with 10 or so new cheese additions to the impressive display they already had.

Had lunch at the Thomas Keller bakery. Wife had the herb-dumplings soup which was delicious and I had the wagyu beef brisket sangwitch. Pretty damn good.
View over looks the lobby and at Christmas time, it is pretty.
Beautiful surroundings for an outdoor dinner. Wait staff were helpful and somewhat attentive.
Sticking to local wines was a little hard here, but we did eventually find one that was a good accompaniment to the dinner.

Had a great meal here. It looks by their chalkboard that they get their cheese selection from nearby Chabichou.

It rubs the lotion on it's skin... (10)Places where men can go to get their pretty on....creepy List Name, huh?! |
Skip these if given a choice. (10)Lets keep this one basic - a list of places that I would now have to bribed somewhat to even think about returning. No joke. |
Great, but (10)Here's a list of fantastic places that just aren't quite "there" yet. |
Good places to help you dress like a Man (8)Well, if I can't act like one, at least I can fool some of you by dressing like one. |
Mmmmeat (15)If it were socially acceptable (and healthy) to eat red meat at every meal, I would load up my bbq in a Radio Flyer and pull it everywhere I went.Instead, I am forced to search for establishments that either serve-up or will sell me glorious mounds of animal flesh. |
Fine Dining Establishments (8)Hey, because I'm pretentious like that!Places I've frequently visited (and in turn either sold my first born, or a kidney). |
The Best of Oakvegas (15)For those brave enough to venture forth into what was the Original Cottage-Country, Oakville has some of the best establishments around. |
French Places, not in France, but in the GTA (16)I'm on a mission to get to as many Good French place in Ontario as possible before I need a bigger pant size. Here's the list so far. |
Everybody go Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn (10)Places to stay while away. No, they don't do "hourly". |
Helloooooo love, would you like a sweetie? (7)K, that came off as creepy rather than Mrs. Doubtfire-ish.These are place to grab something for your sweet set of teeth. |
