I've been to their Ossington location and heard great things about the Leslievile cafe so even though I wasn't particularly craving a latte, I had to drop in. I love the decor and atmosphere of this place. It's large, open, with plenty of tables. I…More »

Mmm...this place just warms my heart. I love it. It's the best coffee chain in Vancouver (please come to Toronto, won't ya?). I can't help but feel better about spending just a tad more when the barista presents me my latte with his/her rosetta leaf…More »
Jimmy's is somewhat tucked away on Portland but there's usually a sandwich sign on the north east corner of King & Portland pointing you to the right direction. Once you walk in, it's as though you're taken away into a little cozy neighbourhood cafe…More »

Love the look of this place - high ceilings, exposed brick, distressed wooden shelves & bar counter by the window. They actually have two espresso machines so two baristas can work back to back on the drinks. It's pretty awesome being able to see…More »

Spacious, bright, friendly service and the large yummy latte was a lot larger than expected - probably a bit more than 16 ounces. I couldn't finish it, I guess I was latte'd out.

Finally made it to Philz after hearing so much about it from my friends.

So I'm a fan of this place more so because there's ample seating (they have a 2nd floor), the lattes are pretty good and it's probably the best cafe on Castro (though there aren't too many of them).

Their lattes here are okay. It was a tiny bit bitter so it lacked that smoothness that I love about lattes. There's a lot of seating which is great to bring out the laptop or a chat with friends.
I came here quickly to grab an iced latte to go. The place itself looks fantastic with its black & red decor and plenty of seating. They have a menu of food items and beans from JJ Beans (I miss Vancouver!) so I was looking forward to my drink.
