You'll smell Bonjour Brioche before you ever see this wee cafe in Toronto's Leslieville neighbourhood. I took the Queen streetcar and almost missed the place but knew I wasn't far off when the heady scent of fresh bread hit me.

The non-coffee offerings at Mercury are quite uninspired. I gave 'em back my chai because it tasted like water with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. It was replaced by a decent enough hot chocolate.

The offering of raspberry iced tea with or WITHOUT sugar was the first thing about Tango Palace to charm me and their stable, free wifi and cozy furniture kept me smitten.
