Dual Mountain Pub Crawl

See All Lists
The rules are simple: Have a beer at every mountain owned hut or restaurant that serves alcohol. Mountain owned bars and cafeterias that are next to each other (Merlin's and Wizard, Dusty's and Dusty's Backside) or restaurants within restaurants (Steeps, Pika's and Roundhouse, Christine's and Rendezvous) count as one place. Variation: Have a beer on the gondolas as well. You may not go fast, you may not go through trees, you may not go in Family Fun Zones. If you ever feel out of control you must sit down and sober up a bit. Splitting beers is allowed after your first four. The following list is the mandatory stops and the best order to do them in. Remember, the huts close earlier so no lolly gagging.

Go for the potato wedges and award winning burgers, stay for the Creekside craziness and jugs of Kokanee.

I should really write slogans for a living.

This is the place to start when doing your duel mountain pub crawl. Get some fantastic french toast…More »

For some reason, I never have a hard time finding a seat. I've never tried the food, although it's the same as all the other places. It's a good place to take a break and drink a beer.

This is the largest restaurant in Canada. You heard me right. It's HUGE. I love that they have baked potatoes all the time. There's something about a baked potato after a morning of boarding that just really hits the spot. The Asian bowls Just about…More »

This place is small, only opened during peak season and did I mention small? The patio is nice. But, did I mention how small and cramped the Chic Pea is? I guess it's supposed to be a little nicer than other places, but I don't see it.

This is by far my least favorite of the three mountain bars (Merlin's, Dusy's and the GLC). The waitstaff was always rude, the food was unimaginative and it was always infested with tourists. The best part of the place by far is the small patio to…More »

I was so angry. It wasn't until half the season was over with that a friend of mine took me to Glacier Creek. Before then i had just eaten at Rendezvous. It's not that I didn't pass Glacier Creek the multiple times a day I would take the Jersey lift…More »

By far the best restaurant on the mountain and maybe one of the best in Whistler all together. Really, I should say, the best dish in Whistler. The Crystal is a small 'hut' (think log cabin) at the top of the Crystal Chair. It's always warm and…More »

Being so small, the Horstman's food selection is limited to chili, soup, and burgers when the weather's nice. The food really isn't why you go to Horstman though. On those bright, clear winter days, there is not a better vista in the world. Standing…More »

Think Roundhouse on Blackcomb. It's big, it gets super crowded, the food's the same as everywhere else, plus the staff here seems to be considerably ruder than every other restaurant season after season. The entire place also just looks rundown.

The best part of working at The Wizard Grill was being connected to Merlin's. Is it the nicest spot in Whistler? No. Is it the best place for relaxed apres with friends after a hard day of riding? Yes.
The nachos alone make this a place to go. $20 may…More »

The best road trip of my life was through Brtish Columbia, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alberta and back to BC to catch a cruise to Alaska. Here are a couple stops along the road.
