Unforgettable.
I'm not really sure what to say about this place. It has got to have the worst food/service/smell I've experienced in a restaurant. It also has 4.99$ pitchers of "Sun Draught Lager" (note: don't try googling it, you won't find it) -…More »

I was so happy to walk in here.
Probably the best gentrified bar of the Blossington/Bloordale strip. The patio is a real winner with the wood stove out back - it's like being at a campfire. Lots of tables out there.
Inside it is clean (bathrooms…More »

Had some dinner here - and reporting on the roasted duck + stuffing + Brussel sprouts. It was divine. It's perfectly filling for a cold winter night - and if you're not in the mood for duck...they had a chestnut gnocchi with a pork shoulder ragu that…More »

Toby's has famously cheap beer (for Toronto).

$12 for a pitcher of Sapporo and a million other types

Bar food value has decreased (smaller servings/ lower quality) while drink prices have risen ($5 for a PBR or Labatt 50 in a bottle - it used to be $3.50). Bar staff is still great, though.
Go here at least once a week.
PBR + 50 are both $3.50. Big space, big tables, coffee if you want, a…

The chef and co-owner left, but they've got a new one and the food seems to be getting better than last time. Beef pot pie is still my favourite (although pricey at 10$).
There is some sort of secret list of patrons on the wall. Numbers,…More »

This place is really not as great when that patio isn't open. The interior is a little drab and the service was pretty poor (not checking on our meal, having to to be hunted down for the bill even though the place wasn't busy).
Maybe I overlook that…More »

Had a bison burger. It was $10.99. It was....like a 7/10.
That's good, mind you. There were aprx. 40 free toppings for the burgers. I asked for all of them but they wouldn't do it. Assholes.
Avacado, Bacon, Cheese are extra btw 1-$2.50.

24 hours. Almost everyone's been here.
They've got daily pints for 4 bucks, mimosas for 3, pulled pork poutines, chicken sandwiches battered in cornflakes, punny names on the menu (Fungi Town, Chili Chili Bang Bang, etc).
The day-to-day food is OK.…More »

Calm down hipsters.
It was pretty hot (only have a portable AC unit in the back), the patio furniture was like....homemade, and service was alright. Tall-boys of PBR were $5.
That was my fist review.

Nice space....sky bar especially. Brunch is OK on the weekends, sitting out on the patio. It's overpriced though. The real problem here is the people who go there in droves. It's "popular" to the "905" crowd.

Well, it's really small. There's a picture of a young girl on the wall, assuming that's the communist's daughter. She was OK.
