During my Indie Coffee Passport journey, I stopped by Quaff cafe on Queen W. I might go out on a limb to and say that this is my favourite stop so far! The space itself is really pretty, bright, spacious, cozy. Even the bathrooms were pretty and…More »

Today (Friday) they are giving away their S Americanos! Too bad I'm all about the latte.
This is a great new coffee shop near Spadina and Adelaide. Surprisingly there aren't too many good… Read more »
Great little coffee shop in the King W. are, made that much better given it's coffee deficient surroundings. I always get a latte and it is always good. However, what is especially great is the variety of baked goods, both savoury and sweet. My…More »

This review is for their cookies. All of the food I've had here has been really good (croissants, muffins, soups, paninis, baguette sandwiches, etc.) and their coffees are pretty awesome too. But the five stars goes solely to their cookies. Soft on…More »

Yum, yum yum!! Sweet old school Italian bakery/pasticceria. I bought some chocolate glazed doughnuts and cheese "Sicilian" cannolis to bring to a cottage weekend. We didn't end up eating anything the day-of, so the doughnuts were a little stale…More »

Cosy and warm in this cool coffee spot on Roncesvalles. In summer, it's a good spot to stock up on paninis before heading to High Park for a picnic, in the winter it's a good place to stop and warm up with a decadent chocolate cupcake and latte...…More »

I recently started working in the area and have been to the Roastery a few times now. So far, so good! The lattes are good (although a bit strong for my weak tastes) and reasonably priced. They also give a discount when you bring your own mug.

I agree with Audrey A. - this place is oddly silent, like library reading room silent. But for someone who is trying to do homework and looking for distractions, this silence was golden. And, having spent some more time here, I wanted to add that…More »

I stopped by here while waiting for a friend to get her hair done at Parlour (on the recommendation of miss Laura T.!). It's a great little spot near Queen W and Ossington for an organic, fair trade coffee. As part of the passport I treated myself…More »
The space is, as mentioned, very sparse and very cool. I might bring a friend visiting from out of town but unless I'm in the area I don't think I'd go out of my way to go back. The seating is limited, albeit quirky. I sat on a swivel 50s desk…More »
That place I've been looking for (3)Know when you find that special something you didn't know you were looking for? |
Soooo Toronto (in a good way!) (8)Things/places that I would seriously MISS about TO if I were to leave. I might make special trips back just for these. |
Onions? No thanks. (5)Some people love onions and think they should be snuck into salads, unmentioned on menus or left in wraps. For those of us who can't eat them - here's a list of places who don't consider onions offensive and sneak them into my food :( If you have some recommendations of onion friendly or onion hating spots... let me know! |
