Normal Rockwell Exhibit! Get down there to see it - I think it ends this week (5/17?).
This was one of the best exhibits I have seen in a long time, but if you are going in the afternoon, save time for the last room because there are about 300…More »

The Henry Ford includes a world class automotive museum, Greenfield Village, and an IMAX theater. In the last couple weeks of June and the first week of July, the DSO performs in Greenfield Village while fireworks are going off. That is a really…More »

Neighbourhood: Eastern Market
I would be pressed to find anyone from Detroit who doesn't like the Eastern Market. This was my grandma's favorite place to go! I love to go ... for the food, for the produce, for the architecture. It is just a really cool place to go. This is a…More »
I was reminded by a fellow yelper not to forget the Faygo 3-Liter! How I could forget it in my initial review is beyond me! And with summer coming (YES! It is finally getting warm), the extra liter will come in handy, for sure!
Faygo gets 5 stars because it is a Detroit brand that is still in Detroit! I do like their Rock &… Read more »

The Well rocks! Good booze and good times. I agree that during sports nights, it is more of a sports bar, but most nights it is so much more than that. It is a newer bar with an old school feel. The place is long and narrow so it can get a little…More »

Trenton location is closed. The Ferndale location is still open (thank God). Consistently delicious and healthy, I could eat this stuff everyday. Pureed spicy peas are my favorite, but if you have never been - you get everything on the menu so…More »

The first time I ever went to Jacoby's was on St. Patty's day a couple of years ago. What better way to celebrate Ireland's patron saint than at a German bar?
I loved the food and I loved the beer. This place is very old school, and very classic…More »

I love coming to this place after bar nights - especially in my days at Wayne State. It is located in the heart of Greektown - this place is good for early morning/late night meals. I like the spinach pie. If you find yourself partying in downtown…More »
For what it is, I like it. Late night artery clogging coney food. It has been around forever, and has become sort of a Detroit landmark. I like the chili cheese fries a lot. I think this coney has been around longer than any other in the city.

Kim R. doesn't have the first clue about Detroit. First of all, Cinco de Mayo is not the best time to go - it is packed with pretenders. Second, there are tons of Mexican people living in that neighborhood - I went to elementary school in that…More »
Josef's is awesome. I love them so much that I had them make my wedding cake. The cake was so delicious - it was a white cake with strawberry pie filling and buttercream frosting. OMG - it was so good. For the groom's cake, they made a golf ball…More »
The atmosphere is fantastic at Jack's - which is a great summer spot! On a cool summer night, go for the french onion soup, which is so good that I would be very surprised if you ever had any that was better. You can get a variety of seafood which…More »
We used to go to this place a lot when I was a kid - it was pretty cool. We would bring a bucket of chicken from KFC and a cooler full of pop. Those were some of the funnest times I had as a kid. It certainly is not what it once was, but it is a…More »
Better Made makes the best chips!!! My favorite are the original BBQ. I also love their cheese popcorn (totally addictive) and their Sour Cream and Onion chips - YUM! Their Plain chips are delicious too. They have many other flavors as well as…More »
