Music Venues

I've spent a bit of time trying to decide who should get my 100th review, and it has to be this hidden gem of a venue, Koerner Hall.
"Koerner Hall is an 1,135 seat venue designed in the tradition of the classic "shoebox" venues of Europe. With its…More »
It's not just a little teapot, nor short. So glad to have found this place and shared with my fellow yelpers. Situated in the heart of Cabbagetown, it's much more of a local pub than an event bar. Low key, not overly loud, but buzzing on a Friday…More »
Holy Jabezus Mother of Murphy this place is good. A coworker regularly brings in a box-o-treats and I'm a sucker for pastries. But these box-o-crazy-goodness is some of the best I've ever had. The custard is as good as general custer's last stand…More »

Toronto Golfer's Not So Ultimate List. (15)This is pretty much the list of places you'll find me during the weekends. Whether it's the driving range or a round of golf, bring your clubs and your swing.Note: I'm a mid-high handicapper and am just not as picky as serious low handicappers. As a weekend duffer, as long as the conditions aren't horrible, or the course is not so poorly designed (i.e. having balls land near you at the tee box) I'm okay with it. Be FORE warned, it's an addictive sport. |
Chinese BBQ (6)Places to get your roasted pork, chicken, duck, some char-sui marinated pork, and if you're lucky a bunch of other items like bung (?!?!) fried smelt/ talapia or tofu.I seriously couldn't go more than a month without some Chinese BBQ. It practically cost me a relationship when someone wanted to turn vegan after seeing a whole roasted pig hung up. You know who I chose to stick by.. yes the piggy. |
