Smooth and tasty $2 Americanos poured by friendly and efficient staff. They pour the water in front of you and ask you to "say when". Awesome.

Unexpectedly good butter croissants here. Coffee is so smooth you don't need milk or sugar. Serve yourself water from a huge glass (?) bowl-y dispenser thing.
Posted some pics of the Chicken salad with cranberry, pecan, sprouts and brie sandwich I ate today. Nice rich salad mix with good amount of brie. This particular sandwich is $5.97 or $6.75 tax in. Rating still a 4, cause I'm still a fan!

Very tasty veal sandwiches. If you've never tried one, are in or around Little Italy, and looking for a satisfying bite, I'd recommend picking one up. It's 6 bucks and it is a pretty good size. The bread and butter of this establishment is the…More »
I'm really not a big fan of pepperoni pizza, but Bitondo's slices are a winner. I quite like the tomato sauce. Nice big slices (practically 2 slices in one) and cheap at a tax-in $2.75. It's a 5 minute (or less) walk for me and I think I've been 3…More »

Thai in Little Italy? Who knew? Having had this resto recommended to me more than once (well, twice), I decided to try their lunch special for $6.99 which runs every day, INCLUDING weekends. I got the green curry with steamed rice, mango salad,…More »

Great brunch spot, a welcome addition to the neighbourhood. The first thing I noticed was that the restaurant is spacious, with cheerful modern decor and the tables are well spaced apart so that you aren't on top of each other.

The soup and salad special is up to $8.83 (with tax). Since it was really the only thing I reviewed, that brings my review down to a 3, but a solid 3.

I don't know whether to call this a cafe, a kitchen or a restaurant, but what I can tell you is that Pantry purveys premium provisions. It seems to exist primarily as a prepared food take-out (lots of different meats, salads etc.), but there is…More »
I just went to A & U for an early weekday lunch and feel like I should be writing a review, even though I don't have anything much different to add than what previous posters have said...

Ok, so this is the little shoe repair place right in parking lot of the Metro grocery store at College and Clinton, at the corner.

Bottom line, its barely ok for fast food, and its not exactly a deal, unless you are looking for two days worth of food in one sitting... If there are seats at Utopia across the road I'd much rather go there for a burger.

I haven't been here too many times over the couple of months I've been in the neighbourhood. Yeah, its like other Starbucks but here are perhaps a few things noting:
1. Store has a "catwalk style" layout - easy to people watch INSIDE the store.

College and Manning is only a short walk for me, and I pass by the corner frequently. I always enjoy the delicious sugary smell wafting right on to the College street sidewalk. HOW do they do that, and make it so strong? Do they pump it out there?…More »

Holy cow, this place has already closed down (for at least a week). Open for less than two months! Even a month? Maybe pizza wasn't the best market segment to enter in Little Italy. Needless to say its not under-served.

I only come here to get cold meat... if there was a better choice close to me I'd probably go to that other choice. The smoked turkey is $4.99 a pound which is quite a bit less (30%?) than Metro for instance (that may not be too tough of a task mind…More »

Maybe this is 2.5 stars. Got plate of nachos and pitcher of Creemore for $24 or so before tip. Lets just say I don't think we got more than we paid for. Its a college hangout, maybe I'm expecting too much. I might try other food, maybe not.
