It's rare that a single brewery can cause you to consider uplifting your family and lifestyle to relocate to a new town just to be closer to it's taps.

Makes one of my top 5 favorite beers - Anchor Steam and has a kickass brewery tour that serves you ample pours of all their brews.
Amazing space/landscape and beer. Makes any afternoon a party.
Didn't eat any food... am reviewing beer and atmosphere.
Brewer Brian Lethcoe opens his micro brewery to the public on Saturdays.
Nice Irish Red Ale.
Worth the drive from Los Angeles to Kernville to enjoy this brewery who's bottled beer I've seen in retail distribution.

Stop by to pick up a growler on your way to San Luis Obispo from Los Angeles.
In my induction to Southern California beers two years ago I went to one of the first Beer Festivals in Los Angeles. I was fascinated by the mural on one van that featured a wave crashing on a beach carrying a surfer on shore to a pint of beer.

I love supporting our local Los Angeles microbrews. The space is immense and swallows up the taps. Easy to invite large groups to hang out so think about it for your next birthday happy hour. Great neighborhood.
Legitimate brewery, with a tasting room alongside the mashtungs.
Standout beer fro me was the Maple Autumn, tastefully brewed with yams and pumpkin pie spices.
A tasting at The Bruery makes a great night out with friends.
Anderson Valley Brewing Company makes one of my five favorite beers - Boont Amber - so if you're every driving up to Mendocino definitely stop by for a drink and lunch.

Take I-99 instead of the I-5 next time you drive to San Francisco so you can enjoy the beers at Lengthwise. The food is yummy too.
Glad to find a brewhouse in Agoura named after a mountain.
Had several of the tasty house brews and enjoyed a bowl of french fries.
Will be a destination for me next time I'm in Agoura Hills.
My friend Kelley absolutely loves this place. I'm stand-offish when it comes to chain brew pub restaurants, but have to admit Karl Strauss knows how to make beer. I think it gave them some credibility with me that they bottle and distribute their…More »

Quest for a Breakfas Burrito (10)My favorite breakfast burrito just went legendary on me and disappeared. That delicious, hangover curative breakfast was served up at Antojitos de la Abuelita - a taco truck in North Hollywood. The truck'spulled out of [P]ark and driven off to unknown destinations.I'm designating breakfast burritos as Mexican or Gringo and designating them as Highly Recommended, Recommended, Recommended with reservations or Not Recommended (a la Cook's Illustrated). Highly Recommended: #1 Mexican: Antojitos de la Abuelita (North Hollywood) #2 Mexican: Tony's Mexican Grills (Valley Village) #1 Gringo: Corner Cottage (Burbank) Recommended #2 Mexican: Manzano Tacos #2 Gringo: Eat Not Recommended Mexican: El Chavo (refried beans overpower taste), Papas Y Tacos (not satisfying on flavor), Casita Taco Al Carbon (not delicious) |
