We got advice to go to the American side for Maid of the Mist and we weren't disappointed! We liked walking in the state forest there and seeing the rapids at the top of the falls. The observation deck is also great to be on. We got a lot of unique…More »

We loved our trip to Niagara. We are nature people and didn't care to do most of the touristy stuff. We did Maid of the Mist, but mostly we walked around the park on the American side, across the bridge to Canada, and all the way down the walkway…More »
My hubby and I celebrate "pizza Wednesdays" back at home, so when we were winding up our vacation to NY and Canada, we found ourselves staying at a hotel on Wednesday night and knew we wanted to order pizza delivery. Our hotel recommended Franco's…More »
Someone recommended this hotel to me for an awesome view, and I found a great deal package on their website that included $40 credit to The Keg (restaurant in the hotel) and $60 games credit at Dave and Buster's. You also get free breakfast and a…More »
This is the best part of the American side of the falls. There are paths to walk that you can see the rapids from and it's not as crowded with rude tourists if you go through some areas. It's clean and has a great visitor's center. Parking is $10 if…More »
Cute little airport. Easy to return a rental car and get through security quickly. Clean and well taken care of. Only a few dining options - a wing place/bar, pizza, burgers, smoothies, and coffee. Friendly employees too!
We stayed here one night between a trip to Niagara Falls and catching a flight home the next afternoon. I found a great rate on Priceline and was surprised I got a hotel with the amount of stars this has for such a low price.
It was easy to find off…More »
This was our first casino experience, so we don't have anything to compare it to, but we enjoyed it. The building is beautiful and has pretty landscaping in front complete with water feature. The inside is HUGE and has a whole galleria of shops and…More »
We only did Maid of the Mist and the Aerocar when we were at the falls, and the Aerocar was just ok for me. I waver between 2 and 3 stars. When we went to buy tickets, the lady said she wasn't selling because it was windy and she wanted to wait to…More »

Veg Friendly Ethnic Joints! (15)Vegetarian? Love ethnic food? Here are my top restaurant choices in STL that fit the bill.1. Everest Cafe: One of my favorite restaurants in STL, hands down. Healthy, fresh, lots of choice, huge amounts of vegetarian options. The lunch buffet (served every day) has more than enough vegetarian choices to make it worthwhile. They also note vegan choices here. 2. Ranoush: I love Middle Eastern food, especially when I have a lot of options. There are many hot and cold mezza here for my type of eaters and a vegetarian platter. I'm not a huge eggplant fan, but they have several of those dishes as well. You can easily avoid it, however! 3. Lemongrass- Best Vietnamese in my opinion and much more vegetarian options than some of its competition (like Pho Grand). Try the veggie hot pots!! 4. Fritanga: Most people don't think of Latin American food as vegetarian friendly, but Nicaraguan and Costa Rican are. This place has its own section of the menu for vegetarians. 5. Thai Country Cafe: An old favorite. They just have a coupe old favorite dishes. You can order pretty much anything with tofu or just veggies. 6. Zen: HUGE menu and therefore HUGE amount of options. Being a vegetarian, it's usually easy to decide what to get (few options) but this menu made me ponder for quite awhile. |
