Eating my way through the Upper West Side (88)After moving to my dream neighborhood, I set a goal: Eat at (and Yelp) every restaurant between 79th St. and 86th St. on Columbus and Amsterdam-- that's 81 restaurants. Deli/bodegas don't count, hole-in-the-wall Chinese does. Take out/delivery does count, but I don't plan on relying on it (that would be so boring!) I have also included some bonus restaurants that are so close they almost count!A pre-thanks to all my friends who will accompany me throughout this endeavor! I'm going to be making my map today and will keep it updated as I go along. *Final note: some of these reviews will go against my "If I don't like it, I don't Yelp it" preference. I must be honest! |

Manhattan Dining on a Teacher's Salary (42)Most places on this list can get you a nice meal (some with drinks, some without) for under $25 (I know... not THAT cheap) or some drinks and snacks for under $15, but others are just such a sweet deal that I couldn't not include them. So for all my fellow public school teachers-- treat yourselves to something nice! You deserve it! |
