1. Baba Ka Dhaba
This place serves reasonably priced great tasting Punjabi fare. You only go because of the food. The place is filthy, the service abominable, and the selection hit and miss. I think they have the best Seekh Kabob in the entire city.

The location on 12th Avenue and 8th Street SW is much superior to their new location on 2nd. 12th is not licensed but Pakistani food, if served properly, does not include alcohol at all. Muslims do not drink alcohol. Seating is sparse but it is well…More »
4. Calgary Sweet House & Restaurant
This is another hidden delight here in Calgary that serves Pakistani style cuisine. Great naan, good kebabs and masala grace their offerings along with fantastic sweets. This is another great place to eat for the budget conscious.
5. Bombay Sweet House & Restaurant
This is a little gem tucked away in Castleridge that serves authentic Indian Punjabi food. All food, especially the seekh kebab, is well prepared and seasoned. Prices are dirt cheap.
