Best place to catch the Canucks game

See All Lists
Other than my house where the beer is always cold and tip free, there are a few decent spots to wet your whistle around town and watch the Canucks on the small screen.

How can I not at least give them four hoppy stars!
They serve Caffrey's on tap.

The grub was as good as it gets for pub fare. And they happily changed the channel away from the NFL to the Canucks.

I know this is smack dab right in the middle of tourist…More »

I have had a few 5 star rock out nights, and also some pretty lame 1 star duds over the years. So I am going straight down the middle here, with a bit of a round up.

5 stars for the mullet worthy tunes that blare after the hockey game ends.

Watched the Canuck's Hawks game here on Friday, and A-OK sums it up pretty well.
My reason for coming here was... It was the only place on Granville that had any seats left 10 minutes before face off.
They could use a few more decent beers on tap.…More »

I first went to Lamplighter on a dreary Thursday night for a Canucks game. I had a blast, definitely a 4/5. Wicked wings, great beers on tap (Rogue and Trad ale) and friendly staff. The second time I went it was a Friday night and another Canucks…More »

OK, so I recently turned the big 3 0!
And we wanted to throw a lil get together with about 25 of our friends and family. Why not a Russian Vodka bar?
We had a great time at Red Squared. Had our own section, and the plates of funky appetizers and $4…More »

Smoked salmon stuffed inside an organic chicken leg... Double O Hell Ya!
I have got to give them some major credit for experimenting with such a wide range of flavours. They pull it off as smooth as Bond himself and mix up a mean Dirty Vodka Martini…More »

They may have a lot of TVs, but they are crap. There are better TVs at the Whitehorse Airport arrivals area. This is not good when the Canucks are in the playoffs.  Can't they buy some Costco TVs and return them in June? Dix lost a star before I even…More »

I have avoided Rogue like the plague.
It's in a train station... right?

Well... serves me right for being so judgmental. I have missed a great place for pints and grub. All those times waiting to get into The Alibi Room or just giving up and heading…More »
