This place is inexpensive and it offers the closest
thing to what you can get late night in Europe.
Dont forget to ask for it spicy!

Formidably rolling out new locations in San Diego, the Kebab Shop is obviously successful for a reason. Their lamb and spiced chicken spinning on the spigot has become one of my favorite SD cheap and quick eats.

Just as good as the original in the EV...this is a common stop for lunch for me. Cant get enough of it really, and after having these nearly nightly when I lived and traveled in Europe, this is about as much as you can expect to find here in the…More »

Definitely one of the top burgers in San Diego. I'm a fan of Rocky's, Tioli's, Neighborhood, In n Out too....
Prepare to hopskotch over homeless people to get to the door, which usually has a wait. This place is an OB staple. You will probably…More »
Worth the wait in line, and there will be one. Bring cash, that's all they take. I love the crispy tacos, the carnitas, and the rolled tacos with tons of cotija queso. This at the top of the list for Mexican food in SD, a staple and deservedly so.
If you want Baja style tacos, you can't get much better this side of the border. They actually came from the other side, as the original is down there. But you gotta Believe when you try the carne asada and the adobada in the tiny tortillas. There…More »
Darn good Fish Tacos. You can pick Grilled or Fried. I prefer the Shark, Ono or Lobster myself. Even cheaper during happy hour(2.50 on Tuesdays). Getting a table can be tough.

Awesome grilled fish sandwiches....and tacos!
Great value.....it makes a healthy lunch.
Cioppino is good too!
This is good cheap food. Not thai food that will blow your mind.
They have some good soups, great egg rolls, and some interesting specials now and again.

Awesome idea for a taco shop.....Its Tijuana meets Melrose Ave.
I recommend the queso tacos here....
This is definitely up there for top NY style pie in San Diego. Good cheap eats!
Awesome sub sandwiches, so stick to the deli counter. Great value here......and a cool little market to shop in while you wait for your lunch to be made. I recommend the caprese and adding sopressata to any sandwich!

Wow. The Oinker is a great sandwich. Too often, food trucks overcharge for a small bite. This is a regular sized meal, with fresh and homemade potato chips seasoned well. The pulled pork was tasty and moist, the sauce was smoky and sweet. The…More »
This is a review for all In n Out Burgers, I just happen to be posting here since it is the one I frequent the most. This burger cant be beaten in this category, that is a cheap, quick burger. Everything is pretty much perfect, and it is a perfect…More »
Great mexican food in a city where there are no shortages of taco shops. This place gets crowded before Padres games, but otherwise isn't very crowded. The chips are cooked just right, really crispy. I like the mini Baja style tacos. The carne…More »
4.5 stars for San Diego. It's right there with Bronx and Basic and Luigis in my opinion. Good NY style by the slice. No complaints
other than I wish it was open until 6am. That, and the bars to go along with it of course.

A great hole in wall Joint and an institution in Little Italy. No frills, and no faux construction like other places in the neighborhood, and that's what I like about it. Tasty sausage, and I think these are better than the meatball subs but I like…More »
More like 3.75 stars....Pretty good grub. The menu has lots of choices and I do want to go back again to try more items. The salsa cups are too small to squeeze a damn chip into though. It has been pretty uncrowded on my visits here, and the staff…More »

3.5 rounding up. There is something very cheesy to me about the design and branding. But more importantly, the food hits the spot. This is not a gourmet place, and so I consider it between the likes of fast food and foo foo. I like the burgers and…More »

For me, the original restaurant location was way more fun. I like the sushi here. It is not the most authentic, not the highest quality, but overall a solid spot that doesn't disappoint. The place is fun and affordable and that is it's draw. I…More »
