Very cool this coffeehouse has such a history behind it, being one of the oldest, if not the oldest coffeehouse on the West Coast. I have been visiting here on and off for nearly the past ten years, and have seen the place get a lift, some good much…More »
awesome spot for coziness and friendliness of service. I had the mexican hot chocolate, made soy, along with a slice of banana chocolate bread. let's talk about the YUM factor here, and what a pleasantly unexpected kick from that hot chocolate! I'm…More »
Miss going to Bay Street at all the funky hours I used to when I was a Fremont resident. Last night was a treat in that a friend and I made a visit before checking out Half Price Books. Same strong coffee drinks and good treats I remember. And fun…More »

I have to say after coming here pretty regularly during some of the past school terms for a study haven, this place truly takes the cake as far as consistency and quality, even with the drinks and treats being slightly on the pricey side. And the…More »

a good place to study with a variety of drinks, including a great thai tea, smoothies, and coffee drinks. I would have given another star if the coffee drinks were of higher quality (though they are not bad) and the wifi was more dependable.

awesome coffee/coffee drinks and snacks, especially nice because of the close location to me. I will go to Peets any day over Starbucks, hands down. my only complaints are the hours (not open long enough) and no wifi. long live Peets!

I had a soy chai last time I visited, and was just bowled over by the intense flavor. Love the food too--lebna plate with fresh veggies, great snack, as well as the tuna salad. small but cozy place, and sometimes the wifi cuts out, and other than…More »
I had a very nice banana mocha here this morning, with real whipped cream (and not that fake stuff in a can). Very yummy stuff. The pumpkin cookie (on the large side for a cookie) was packed with an appropriate cinnamon-nutmeg-allspice combo of…More »
Barefoot demonstrates the hard-to-find high art of coffee drink creation. Really incredible visiting here about a week ago with a friend, finding this rather tiny coffeehouse tucked away in a strip mall close to Lawrence Expressway and Stevens Creek.…More »
Pleasant atmosphere here, but really easy to pass up when making a right onto Newell if you're not aware the parking spaces are exactly on the corner at S. Main Street. I had a drip coffee, whatever blend they had brewing that day, along with a…More »
can I just say yum? I visited yesterday late morning almost noon with my sister, and shared a slice of apricot pie with a double frangelico latte; she had a borgia. wonderful flavors, really cool digs. so many other things I want to try here.…More »

Fortuitous for my friend and I to enjoy mochas earlier this evening at this establishment, rather than go for the other chain cofffeehouses on this street. While I ordered a hot Mexican mocha, my friend had a regular hot mocha. I also included an…More »
Fast and efficient service. I have come to the location only a few times after my move here to Mountain View under a year ago, and today was one of those times. I paired my caramel latte with a caramel toffee blondie. While the blondie wasn't too…More »

Can I say decadent? Really awesome coffee drinks and beautiful sweet treats. My friend picked up one of the espresso-based hot chocolate drinks. Very rich, totally dessert in a cup. (and now why didn't I ask for a try--so gorgeous!) I had an espresso…More »
This establishment appears to be housed in what looks to be a former Starbucks, judging by the architecture and the appointments in the place. Besides the basics of coffee drinks and cafe eats, Clocktower also carries tchochkes and nicknacks for…More »
Pricey, pricey, pricey--first thing my friend and I noticed about this establishment, particularly regarding the food. Other than that, the coffee prices seem to be within the norm as far as bay area coffee joints. So he had his usual iced mocha, and…More »

So people complain about the lack of friendly service here; I don't know what to make of it. The staff won't gab with you like they're your styllist when you're in the chair or your gurlfriends while your shopping, but that doesn't make them…More »
I have tried some wonderful pastries and coffee drinks here. Today, Chris and I had a snack with a drink before seeing The Dark Knight at Cinearts. Chris had an apple turnover with a banana-flavored Italian soda; I had a pineapple twist with my coke.…More »
