This place is too expensive for what you're getting.
I figure if you're going to spend some money, go all out - not 3/4 of the way with NB.
Onion rings were recommended - huge pile! But they were cold so I sent them back. Fish of the day was basically…More »

For some reason, I've been to this place half a dozen times even though it's never really that good. I think it's because of the lack of options in terms of a good smoked meat place.
Smoked meat: often dry - that's a style thing, but it's gotten worse…More »
Best part of being in Splendido is being in Splendido.
Smart looking room + excellent service/way too knowledgeable wait-staff + plus good but not the greatest food = a pretty good time.

Too many chips and not enough fish - especially for the price ($10 for haddock + whatever extras you get - tarter, etc). It's OK.
One bonus: They have mushy peas. Mmmm! Nice and peppery. Ours were cold though, so that's a little weird.
Cash only.…More »

Take a gamble with the crowd, I guess. If they're gross, there's no hiding from them. 4 bucks for a 50. Tolerable.
Is this…More »

BQM thinks they're a lot better than they are.
I had the "Shoppe" burger - Carmelized onions, horseradish, tom., grns., & aioli for $10
I had a beer, too.
So I got one burger and one beer and the bill was like $20. And no fries.
Was this the best…More »
King Slice is a little overrated. The slices are definitely big and that's a plus- but its fucking gross when you want to take it away and all they do is spread it over two paper plates and put it in a paper bag (which can only retain so much…More »
