Hair Salons
Neighbourhoods: Alexandra Park, Entertainment District, Queen Street West, Downtown Core
Cooney @ Cooney for Hair is simply the best. He knows his stuff and it shows. I'm a guy and he was very detail-oriented while cutting my short hair. His staff are friendly and skilled as well. The price is definitely justified and I would pay more if…More »

This is the place to go for simple and well-tailored basics that will pretty much go with everything. It's hard not to walk out of the store empty handed because there is always something in there that catches my eye.
It's their newest location and…More »
I love Pita Nutso. SOOO MUCH! I've cheated a few times with other shawarma establishments, but I always come back.
PIta Nutso is pretty darn amazing. The shawarmas are satisfying and will leave you coming back for… Read more »
I just found my go-to for a cheap slice of pizza. Aww yea! It's $3.50 per slice and you get to choose from three different types all made from a thin crust. I had the Margherita and it was honestly sublime and had lots of nice subtle flavours. I…More »

Japanese
Neighbourhoods: Church-Wellesley Village, Downtown Core
It's located right off Yonge St. on Carlton. The interior is not so fancy schmancy but it's easy on the eyes. Sushi seemed fresh. Everything is well executed and I think it's not one of those average Japanese restaurants in Toronto.

Chinese
Neighbourhoods: Chinatown, Downtown Core
I've been to this restaurant a few times and it never disappoints. I'm a picky eater, but I wouldn't hesitate to try everything in their menu. Best restaurant in Chinatown by far!
These are the best wings I've had in a while. The meat falls off the bone, it's a little crunchy and they're generous with the sauce. 1 lb = 9 wings for nearly $10. Another Yelper mentioned the round carrots and a stick of celery that came with the…More »

My friend got ice cream at Baskin Robbins while I ordered a crepe here. She was staring at my crepe pretty hard and was full of regret for not getting dessert here instead. I let her have a couple of bites even though I was dying a little inside. It…More »

Aside from selling everything pertaining to cigars, they offer a sophisticated selection of small goods (fountain pens, cuff-links, key fobs, leather, antique toys) for the refined gentleman.

It's a bakery/pizzeria/restaurant all in one. It's surrounded by suburbia, but you get a warm, cozy vibe when you first walk in. I've been getting my lunch here since high school. The pizza here is incredible. You won't be disappointed.
The halibut and the chips are excellent and not too oily. The batter is thin and not overpowering. The tartar sauce is great too and home made. This place is the reason why I love fish and chips.
I live all the way at the other end of the city but I still come here because Nelson (the owner) is the MASTER in the exquisite art of bubble tea-making.
I love everything about Aeroport Taxi.
Reserving a car to and/or from Pearson is so simple whether you reserve online or on the phone. You can even request a wake up call. The drivers are always on time and professional. Their fleet of taxis and limos…More »

Neighbourhoods: High Park, Roncesvalles
This is the best walk-in clinic in the area. The office is extremely busy so if you're impatient I suggest coming in first thing in the morning. Dr. Shane Burton rocks and I wish he was my regular doctor. His mild manners will put you at ease, he's…More »
