Hands down BEST FOIE GRAS ever!
Melisse has the most flexible tasting menu among Michelin restaurants that I've been to. They have different sets of tasting menus that you can pick and mix from.
The wait staff was knowledgeable and informative of the…More »
Staff were very accomodating when I had to add an extra seat to the table at the last minute (despite the restaurant being fully booked) and seemingly possible other seating being at least 2 hrs later. Ended up keeping to the original reservation…More »
Simply FABULOUS. My review is of Bouley when it used to be on W Broadway. The smell of apples surely hits you when you walk through the entrace to the restaurant. I enjoyed every dish of the tasting menu we got.

One if by land has a fabulous dinner, bar and brunch menu that I really should come here more often. Many a times, the restaurant has attempted to send me gift certificates but I'm just such a great procrastinator especially when the restaurant is so…More »
I was initially thinking 4.5 stars till my friend asked "why not 5?" ..... I couldn't think why not so 5 it goes. It's been a while since I last gave a 5-star review and I cannot express the satisfaction of having found yet another 5-star experience…More »

I hardly give 30% tip. Alan Wong is one of the few places that I do though. The wait staff aren't the typically seasoned and truly professional types you get in NYC but they put in a lot of effort and attention in their service that you really…More »

FANTASTIC dining experience. TRULY ATTENTIVE STAFF. I walked in and was warmly greeted by the staff. Since I was early, I sat at the bar waiting for my friends. The MINUTE I touched my coat in my attempt to remove it, the staff had already appeared…More »

The ONE thing that made the trip to Montreal oooh so worth it. TIME SUPPER CLUB is oooh so chic and so super trendy. We lucked out because we got the concierge at the Ritz Carlton to make us a dinner reservation the day of and were first told that it…More »
Sadly, I have to revise my rating as the previous owners have sold this restuarant and did not think the food was of the same standard when I was here recently... who knows, I may never come back here again.

I love a place that serves REAL kaisou instead of the typical marinated seaweed you get everywhere else. Wonderful sushi and cosy restaurant set-up. I've in several instances also done take-outs for their very affordable pre-fixe rolls... delicious…More »
High quality sushi accompanying the high prices you pay for them. Great wonderful variety of sushi and sashimi. Note the place does not take reservations but fortunately we didn't have to wait that long for a table for 2.

Affordably priced lunch menu! Fresh sushi and value-for-money bento boxes. Also, I'm a huge fan of the Japanese bathrooms you find at Morimoto's.

I am SO NOT A MEAT / STEAK person but I LOVE PETER LUGER. As with many people, I trekked all the way out to BKLYN for this meal that was at such an odd time of the day for the only reservation we could get while I had family visiting - 345pm on the…More »
Let's put this straight... when I review Chinatown restaurants, it's typically for the authenticity and the quality of the food amidst like-offerings. Let's face it, service does not exist in C-town... so let's get the ball rolling...

OK I have to be honest here. IMO Thai restaurants in NYC fall into 2 categories:
1) Great authentic food but typically tiny holes-in-the-wall
2) Large expansive restaurant with sparse looking tables and odd furniture, serving mediocre food

This is a GREAT thai restaurant that opened last year. In terms of decor, this place definitely stands out from most hole-in-the-wall, tacky, bleah - the typical Thai restaurants you find in the city. I'd say this place is actually pretty…More »

Best Korean bbq I've had in the city! I love the fact that this is CHARCOAL bbq set up. Especially like the jap chae and the kalbi (as usual). Ooooh what a great find. Thanks to a Korean friend who organized dinner here.
